MBM,

90% of Tumblr screenshots for some reason

MBM,

Except for like, fruits, seeds, eggs, dairy etc.

MBM,

Oh I guess my comment does look like a vegetarian shopping list. My point was that even though many vegetables ‘die’ for us, there are things you can harvest without killing the plant/animal. Not as a moral stance, I doubt anyone cares more about carrots dying than cows and chickens suffering.

MBM,

6 / 2 * 3

Semi-related: something in me wants to read that as 6 / (2*3), because 6 * 3 / 2 feels like a much more ‘natural’ way to write it

MBM,

Implying a Cockney accent isn’t fancy

MBM,

The implication is that laptops are for hot people, obviously

MBM,

A specific phobia to water is called aquaphobia instead.

Please be lying, the only thing worse than mixing Latin and Greek is using words that mean the exact same for different things

MBM, (edited )

Jesse Faden not conventially attractive? Wow, the internet is a wild place

MBM,

“okay, we’ll rappel down this giant cliff, then there’s a pond at the bottom, so we brought our scuba gear…”

… I’m split between being absolutely terrified of getting stuck, and thinking what you’re describing sounds awesome

MBM,

lemmy.world defederated from them, so that might be part of it

MBM,

I don’t think that spoiler worked. Maybe because it’s all on the same line

MBM,

It’s a miracle the French still have good food then

MBM,

Heck, most countries that use dollars use metric!

MBM,

I don’t expect people who leave such comments would suddenly be supportive after finding out she’s trans. For what it’s worth, I missed the trans part at first and just thought it was neat.

MBM,

Instead, we have mailed letter bombs to four or five people we suspected of being reviewer C

Ah, inspired by the author of Boundary Functions for Bounded Harmonic Functions

MBM,

The only time I would have a problem with vegetarians/vegans is if their choices affect my ability to make a choice. eg. I can no longer get beef because there’s now a vegan law that forbids it (type of thing).

Just out of curiosity, how would you feel about laws that make beef more expensive? (because of lower subsidies, stricter animal welfare regulations, or maybe higher taxes to cover climate impact)

MBM,

Laws that specifically make beef much more expensive could be seen as a milder way of banning beef (extreme example: if it costs as much as you make in a month, it’s basically banned), so I was curious where you draw the line of “their choices affecting my ability to make a choice”.

MBM,

It’s weird because vegans are pretty chill IRL

MBM,

The one thing I like about Discord is that in their font the l now has a little tail like t

MBM,

That’s if you add two of the same odd number. The more general proof is basically the same though: let n and m be integers, then 2n+1 and 2m+1 are odd. (2n+1) + (2m+1) = 2n + 2m + 2 = 2(n+m+1) which will be even.

MBM,

Definitely, that’s how I’d explain it in words

MBM,

If you’re going to a theater, of course! I’m talking about watching movies at home though

MBM,

So… do you all just sit there and watch movies in complete silence?
