NightAuthor,

That link was taking 7ever to load, even once the base-page loaded it still was struggling to fill in the content. Abandoned after like 20 seconds.

NightAuthor,

What’s another example of this kind of parting phrase?

I'm new to networking and self-hosting and have no idea where to start.

I’ve been slowly working my way though a list of skills to learn, both to put on my resume and as personal growth. Networking is the next thing on this list. I am not sure what I am looking for, but I want to start another project. I have built many a personal computer, but the world of networking is a pretty foreign concept...

For project ideas, I think most of us start with a problem and learn how to solve it. But without some foundational knowledge, you may struggle to even realize what’s a solvable problem.

You should maybe start with something like Linus Tech Tips “techquickie” content. Look at tutorials for home servers and home labs.

Or just spin around with your eyes closed, and point at a random tech object in your home, then start searching for info on how that works. How you can customize it, fix it, break it, make your own.

Not sure how else to help you jumpstart what many of us have just been naturally doing our whole lives. Like… be curious. That’s the key actually. Curiosity.

NightAuthor,

3 times a day to every 3 days is normal.

When was the last time you pooped?

NightAuthor,

Roku really should not sell most of their cheapest options, they’re very bad, while the top of the line Rokus are very solid.

NightAuthor,

I bet you even try to “just ask questions” too… disgusting.

NightAuthor,

Ah, the tangled web we weave! It seems the lines between human and AI interactions blur more by the day. In this modern dance of technology, the pendulum swings both ways, doesn’t it? Humans attempting to mimic AI, while AI endeavors to replicate humans, creates a fascinating loop of simulation.

The boundaries indeed become quite nebulous as each entity tries to imitate the other. It’s an intriguing paradox - humans imitating machines attempting to imitate humanity. One might ponder where this circuitous journey concludes. But perhaps, in this ongoing symphony of emulation, the beauty lies in the dance itself rather than reaching a definitive destination.

NightAuthor,

You reminded me that last week I actually could tell they were doing burpees in the Livingroom. Between the cadence of the various noises, and the fact they came in 3 sets of 10, I’m like 99% sure. So that was amusing, counting and identifying that activity.

NightAuthor,

I thought maybe for a second, but then I remembered the incredible consistency of their gait, their footfalls sound like a very angry metronome when they’re going, though with frequent seconds-long pauses.

NightAuthor,

That sounds wildly unpleasant, unless they had some amazing soundproofing

NightAuthor,

The occasional stuff isn’t a problem, it’s just the hours-long full-floorplan pacing sessions that bug me. Thankfully it’s mostly blocked out by my headphones.

One of me Nextdoor neighbors has this laugh that comes through our shared wall (unfortunately my bedroom wall), but like you said, hard to be annoyed with people enjoying themselves. If they’re laughing it up when I’m trying to get to bed I’ll just put on some rain sounds or something.

NightAuthor,

I just keep thinking about how I’d do it, I’m so confrontation averse. Bc we’re in a mid rise, I don’t even know who they are or what they look like, which is another variable to add to my anxiety about such an interaction.

Last night I was thinking, what if I left myself a reminder to write them a note when I’m not actively aggravated, and just left it in their mailbox. /shrug

As noted by another comment, it’s kinda pathetic

NightAuthor,

Pacific Northwest is open to all, you don’t even need a home, just pitch a tent.

NightAuthor,

Yeah… but having some pride (warranted or not) is good motivation to help build and maintain things.

NightAuthor,

I mean, they didn’t even put it in meme format… BOOoOO!!

NightAuthor,

Idk if you meant to, but you came across really rude. Anyway…

You’ve got a point about creating but not using the cracks, that does leave the question of when it’s ethical to release it. Immediately for those with region locks or whatever that prevents them from normally acquiring it? Wait till it’s no longer available anywhere? Try to region lock your crack?

Also my comment was not advocating for stealing, it was advocating for ensuring your ownership rights asap after purchase.

Found the nazi

spoiler/s

NightAuthor,

I’d lose my mind too paying as close attention to the trends of corporations as he does.

NightAuthor,

I’m pretty sure you could always store a full image in an NFT on ethereum, it’d just cost stupid high transaction fees.

NightAuthor,

My wife strongly objected to me buying a box of candy when we were at Costco, so I don’t have any.

NightAuthor,

I’m not really a non-science-person person, but I’m glad u appreciated it.

NightAuthor,

I’m curious, do you disagree that your joke could contribute to the stigma or do you just don’t care?

NightAuthor,

I wonder if these findings have been supported by female lead research.
