Bullshit it doesn’t happen in the west. 12.8% of US households were considered food insecure in 2022, with 5.1% of that being considered to have VERY low food security(Source). Over 20,000 Americans died of malnutrition in 2022, more than double the number in 2018(Source).
There’s also nearly 30 vacant homes for every 1 homeless person in the US, so there’s plenty of room, too. Nobody needs a 2nd home when over half a million people don’t even have one.
Cold winter? We used to get blizzards in October here, now we barely get any snow at all throughout the entirety of winter, and it’s frequently warm enough to be comfortable outside in nothing but a shirt and shorts.
I swear every single year people forget how actually mild winter has become. It got down to -50F here once years ago thanks to the polar vortex and ever since most everyone starts on how “it’s gonna be a really cold winter this year” everytime it drops to the fucking 40-50F range. When you point out they said the same thing last year and it was even milder than when they said it 2 years ago, they often just double down being willfully ignorant and insist last winter was “soooo bad” despite it being warmer on average than Fall was 15 years ago.
I don’t even think it makes sense, since your skin senses it.
It makes sense when you learn that your skin doesn’t sense ambient temperature at all, but rather it senses the rate at which you are losing or gaining body heat. This is why metal can feel cold at room temperature while something like a blanket actually feels room temp, it’s a better heat conductor so it absorbs body heat from you faster.
Having more body mass means you produce more body heat at any given time, so the rate at which you lose body heat to the air is decreased, making you warmer.
I don’t. Fuck intubating them, fuck admitting them to the hospital at all, that’s room that could go to treating someone not dying from the consequences of their own actions.

An episode of the IT Crowd had a B story that was kinda transphobic. It was minor enough and the show was popular enough he probably could’ve easily just apologized and that would’ve been that. But instead, in 2013 after said episode was brought up and criticized for being transphobic to the creator, said creator tripled down and became a full on anti-trans “activist” who makes even JK Rowling seem benign by comparison.
The last straw for me was about a decade ago when an update completely broke Chrome on my machine. It would open and immediately crash, even after reinstalling. Everything else worked fine, virus scans came back clean and everything, it was only Chrome. I spent the next 2 months playing browser roulette before settling on ol’ reliable Firefox once again.
Google as whole no, maybe, but that slogan was absolutely mocked from the start. Remember that this was right around when shit like The Matrix, Hackers, etc… were big pillars of the internet. “Don’t be evil” inherently sets off alarm bells regardless of anything else.
Is it shallow, or petty, to decide based on name alone? Yeah, pretty much, but there’s probably something, a product or service or site, that the name has made you gloss right over it or jump to it ASAP....
This is already the case. Even the fastest blu-ray is like 40x slower than the internal SSDs on the PS5 and the XSeX/XSeS, and the largest capacity is only 100GB which isn’t even a single Call of Duty.
In Russia. Believe whatever propaganda you want, no matter how you spin it, no matter how well treated the children actually are, it’s still a war crime, it’s still stealing children. The warzone only exists in the first place because of Putins invasion, and it could end tomorrow if he wanted.
Bullshit. Russia is invading Ukraine, there is ZERO justification for that, NONE. If they want to keep Ukrainian children safe, they need to stop invading their country, not kidnap them from their families and forcefully immigrate them to Russia.
Russia can stop invading Ukraine any time they want. Ukrainians will never stop trying to defend their country. Russia, and Putin specifically, is the one at fault for every single life lost in this war. The fucking gall you have to victim blame Ukraine when they are literally fighting a defensive war against an invader is insane.
