Samsy,

Cheap Pork is the best medicine. Eat it three times a day. It’s full of antibiotics. /s

Samsy,

Yes, I know, but since it’s open source, I don’t ask for release dates. :-)

Samsy, (edited )

I really hate the social media discussion about this. And the comments in the past teached me, there are two different ways of learning math in the world.

Samsy,

YT Premium may not have ads, but they sell your data anyway.

Samsy,

I liked the sd-card feature, too. But nowadays my android has 128 GB and I never got more data than 25% on it. Because I sync and remove everything to the cloud. Idk what I could put on a sd-card.

Samsy,

Search for botfather.

It creates an API token and in combination with my own telegramID I get notifications from services like uptime-kuma or watchtower.

Samsy,

Remember, it’s a cloud messenger, not a secure messenger. It’s cool to have all chats on every device, but by default, they are unencrypted. I message there, too, but only nonsense.

Samsy,

Effective? Yes. Bullshit-free? Hell, noo.

Samsy,

It’s very effective for sysadmins if you want to get real time notifications about server stats. The possibility are endless because you could push everything with curl from commandline or cron. For example why not get informations about SSH login attempts or CPU usage or unattended upgrade logs?

Samsy,

Millennials are split into the older and the younger ones. I am one of the older ones, and I don’t know what the heck is going on with the younger ones.

Can GenX adopt me please?

Samsy,

TIL, I’m a xennial. Thx for sharing.

Samsy, (edited )

I used both, and my experience is, that mull has better privacy features but a lot of pages are broken. I go with fennec, because of that.

Samsy,

I miss the 2001 icon. Those silly times installing windows again and again every day.

Samsy,

I saw a presentation in excel once, I want sum it up here, but it was pointless.

Samsy, (edited )

The problem is, people dig to deep into excel functions, some of them could easily build a database or do some programming (if/else), but they know nothing outside of their ms-office -ecosystem.

Just a hint for ms-office devs, why not a low-code-builder with SQL backend. Just call it squirrel or powersql or something.

Samsy,

I’m curious how they manage a function like this differently between EU and the rest of the world.

iOS 18.1 and iOS 18.1-EU?

Samsy,

Possible solution are EU exports to the US then.
