When people say that’s not a British dish, they are talking about origin of the dish. Not where it was made today.

Apparently pumpkin spice is blend of spices used in pumpkin pie. So that usually includes ground cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves etc.

Talk about misleading name.
