What do you mean? They used the best Saran wrap film they could find for this one…

Lol love that one. My uncle was the one that used the Bullshit line on me

Ha that I suspected but I’m the same way. I wanted to finish what I was in the middle of. Mind you there was no sleep mode on my Sega. At least with the emulators you can save state now.

Or as some like to refer to as tracers…

Working through some of that now but the sweating and then cleaning the sweat off is making it worse. Still need to figure out a system where cleaning them doesn’t invite the fogging after. I think if I never sweated on them I would be fine for fogging up.

Apparently if you say “no homo” after it doesn’t count?

Thank you for the info. I can’t log into Lemmy. World from a web browser or my Sync app. According to profile he’s in Ireland and probably asleep or at his age hopefully partying.

I’m just trying to understand these hidden rules. It’s not the first time I’ve bumped up against them and I didn’t think of the abortion angle. I’ll keep this in mind as it’s usually not top of mind for me.

If it was the first one no, same for the second and third, but this one is off as it seems to be about their agenda not a bunch of stupid masturbation jokes

Might actually been more damaging to his reputation if they were… 😂

The very first sound I thought of!

Yes this exactly. If you need to do this you have hired the wrong people and/or the mission is not clear.

I decided I wasn’t going to be a prison warden early on in my career after trying to be one for the company.

We got so much further as a team when I use to make sure they had their birthday cakes and whatever other supplies or tools and got the hell out of their way.

Not a lot of people can trust others this much. It also takes initiative to weed out those that are not going to fit into the team quickly. 1 bad Apple can make the bunch go bad quickly.

I watched a video the other day discussing the sensors in some Microwaves for popping popcorn. Most lower end units don’t have these sensors but the ones that do, can actually make pretty good popcorn.

At least they aren’t a bunch of eyes!

On local shared hiking trails they make dog owners scoop up after them with plastic bags so it can be flung into trees further down the trail, but with the horses they can just do their business where ever they want on trail. Some sections get pretty covered in it.

I suspect it will be deleted though… 😂

It’s not easy posting content as some mods get butt hurt over jokes but all you can do is keep trying I guess?

Locally especially among the rednecks, the answer is always those immigrants.

My first 2 thoughts are yeah right they came and stole your software engineering job, and what job? That back breaking one you weren’t going to work in the fields anyways as crops rot away? I can’t see you doing either. /s

Potatoes fall into this category too of both delicious and nightshade fun. So tastes great like anti freeze but it takes a lot longer to finally get you.

Is loves to laugh still a big one? 10 years back it was fairly common.

When I thought about it, no matter how good or evil one is laughing must be fun.

Laughing about a light hearted joke or a local orphanage burning down, laughing would be an extension of what brings them joy?

I was always envious of my gay buddies and their ability to just get it on and not deal with the traditional female vetting process even for hook ups.

There were some good parody videos on the differences between early Tinder and Grinder dates highlighting them.

Then I noticed most have the common story that there is no one decent to date locally despite all their good friends being gay.

The only good ones are out of town or far away across the country. Not sure where it is now but I’m still envious if no matter how hard they try to get pregnant, there isn’t the risk of 20 to life from being truly successful…

I was a K-9 user for a time there. I sprung for the Nine client’s 1 time buy for my work email so I could control with a schedule notifications and mail retrieval.

I now use it for my Gmail client so I can add inline photos to my messages on Android.

I was mostly a lurker on reddit for many years. Before that was a forum board user, moderator, and even setup a few for sports leagues. Despite being sports centric there was usually off topic sections for politics and other off subject debates. Often these sections became more popular than the sport.

Then it would became drama filled and once a year there would be complaining about all the new summer users once kids were out of school. They would flood the forums with newbie stuff and people would leave the forum and find a new home. Seems like this pattern repeats to the newer socials too.

With FB etc the forum boards seem to lose a lot of that daily traffic over time. FB and other Socials delivered that quick dopamine hit and it didn’t even need to be in the niche the forums were. For those that wanted the niches, FB groups came on the scene.

For me with Reddit it came on one of my early Android phones which was great for reading with. I didn’t comment much as the threads were usually fairly deep with comments and sort of done by that stage. It didn’t have that small town feel like the old forums so I wasn’t as inclined to add much. Still there was plenty to read, perhaps too much as books began to be replaced by socials too. Since I was only a mobile user, the API changes were a great reason to get off reddit and read books again. Still working on that.

I’m finding myself commenting more on Lemmy but like the life cycle of the forums and reddit, it’s only a matter of time when the users reach the tipping point and the feel of the place will change.

So I’m trying to enjoy things as they last these days. Hopefully get some books in there now too…
