There’s a few industries that cling to it for that (weak) reason but it’s obsolete as soon as they let go

I mean I only use my own printer once a year at most but plenty of other people still have to print things personally and professionally for various reasons. Many printed things can be replaced by technology but not everything. Fax was just a way to get information from one place to another - every single part of what it does is done better and easier with email and other tech

I think it was an overall failure (not blaming you specifically or anything) because it feels forced. The majority of “content” is just reposted memes, there’s no real people to go along with it.

Most Lemmy communities don’t feel like communities. They’re just meme repositories - as if we needed 10 places all hosting the same pictures in a different order

Based on the wording I’m guessing it’s not for Go at all (outbreaks IN regions as opposed to FROM regions)

I haven’t played a non-Go Pokemon game in years, is there one with online features like this?

The speed run is surprisingly spoiler-free! At most you see the face of one of the bad guys during .25 seconds of a cutscenes. Maybe wait until they get officially introduced in act 2 before watching…but it’s worth checking out if for no other reason than to see the guardian the player designed lol

I got really good at the tech used to do it (launching boxes anywhere) and would throw boxes at my friends any time I found one

I have all notifications turned off except the following:

Texts, calls, and calendar events are the only things that can make sound or vibrate.

Discord, Snapchat, and OneDrive* pop up but they’re silent. (*I have like 100k pictures going back 20+ years and like seeing the On This Day galleries)

I hate that I always compare Lemmy to Reddit, but Reddit used to have (not sure if they still do) guidelines called “Reddiquette” that included guidelines about upvoting and downvoting. I don’t remember the specifics (and sending too much of my browser traffic to Reddit makes me feel dirty) but one of the guidelines was...

To the guy I replied to, they’re apparently one in the same. But I’m definitely referring to the former. Sometimes it’s nice to have someone telling you to pump the brakes when you’re cruising on an idea ya know?

Liberals (me included) tend to rely on momentum and sometimes we overshoot. The world needs all kinds of people - even if I disagree with most conservative viewpoints.

Websites to download cracked software for Windows?

Yes, I have looked in the megathread. Specifically under the sections “All Purpose”, “Tools”, and “Software”… however, I didn’t find any general, all purpose websites for cracked software. Or at least, the megathread never had something in it that said “great website for cracked software”....

AutoCAD and Ableton are my two most-used pieces of software. There are no FOSS alternatives that get anywhere close
