gregorum,

Yeah, I got an alert in my email last night about this. Now I have to go through a massive password reset. Fun!

gregorum,

I think there’s a good chance he won’t make it on enough state ballots to have a chance to win.

Calling anywhere in Greater Houston “the middle of an urban area” is just incorrect.

It’s the 4th most populated city in the US

lmao

wow, that’s some 2002 comin’ back to say hello!

DS9 and Homestar Runner were nearly contemporaneous. They missed each other by, like, a year

all I’m saying is nobody gets their pants altered that often, and “your pants are ready to be picked up” is their not-very-subtle fuck code.

gregorum,

Oh, this just keeps getting better and better

If Tuvix is on the planet, we know which one Janeway would choose

IIRC, it was the Vulcan science officer in Star Trek: Phase II that they originally wanted to be an android.

gregorum,

They say they use it to sync up your watch history to your account so it can sync across devices, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were selling your watch telemetry to advertisers as well.

To add to this: sometimes it’s simply an add-on to an employer-offered plan, and simply a result of that sort of enrollment. Employers like Home Depot, Target, and Best Buy fall into this category.

Edit: even if that employee hates that person, that, person can easily. Become the beneficiary of a large employee policy just because the signatory happened to know the information relevant to the heir when they happened to die.

gregorum,

“Tom Sawyer?”

“No, YYZ. How do you even confuse those two?”

He’s a classically-trained Shakespearean actor, trained with the Royal Shakespeare Company. You should check him out on his The Twilight Zone episodes. They’re about the hammiest, scene-chewiest things you can imagine.

Drugs? I’m betting it was because of drugs. I’m basing this guess on a lot of experience.

Won’t someone think of the billion-dollar megacorps‽ They may lose a few bucks saving kidnapped children on the off-chance some fakers pretend to be cops! GASP!

You’re acting as if this is some sort of widespread form of criminal activity and that it’s not already a crime to impersonate a cop or to commit wire fraud while committing a kidnapping. Because who gives a shit about any of that when a few bucks could be made?

gregorum,

I remember that, in one of the many Trek documentaries I’ve watched, this was some sort of misguided 1980s attempt by Gene Rodenberry to be gender-neutral when it came to the objectification of bodies in Trek. Interesting how everyone thought it was awkward once the roles were reversed.

Too bad they didn’t learn, “perhaps we should just stop doing this,” and went back to, “let’s just go back to doing this only to women.” Then we careened into the 90s space babe era.

gregorum,

The best part is that, instead of being rivals, they’re all BFFs ❤️
