Hmm, I did some pretty heavy drinking in my 30s but rarely had hangovers. I have no data for my 40s because I just haven’t had much desire to drink, or to drink that much when I do drink.
You missed a big advantage of gold: for most of human history, gold was the densest material known to man by a wide margin, making it very easy to verify that a piece of purported gold is real.

“Paying” for tax cuts makes sense in the context of changing budgets while trying to keep them balanced. But no money is ever spent on tax cuts. It’s spent on the public infrastructure and services you mentioned. If you properly account for the money as being used to pay for public goods, then saying it’s also used to pay for tax cuts would be double counting.
Is there some kind of law that consumer electronics have to have a terrible UI? It’s pretty much just smartphones and computers that don’t totally suck.
