Not for every average Hollywood movie ever.

There’s so many acronyms for the source because of how many people independently rip, not even including cam rips.

Now if it’s some big gun software like cobalt strike, then sure yeah people definitely charge.

But Movie and TV pirating is so easy, people regularly make their own rips and torrents.

I have an unholy combination of XFCE and Compiz lol.

"Must Try" distros and DEs?

Hey folks! I’m getting a fresh laptop for the first time in about a decade (Framework 16) in a couple of months and am looking forward to doing some low-level tinkering both on the OS and hardware. I’m planning to convert into a “cyberdeck” with quick-release hinges for the screen since I usually use an HMD, built-in...

Yeah I’m surprised it doesn’t show up as much anymore despite being both a performant and highly customizable platform.

I feel like people are overlooking the fact that this is typical early internet behavior lol.

I get that its the linux kernel mailing list, but I’m pretty sure Linus was way more wild online than in person because that’s how public internet forums and IRC used to be like.

Stallman has also said some equally braindead stuff lol.

Google is like the base standard you have to use and compare to because no one has made a serious competitor because Google is a monopoly/oligopoly

Ex: Google Maps is functional and okay, but sucks by 2023 standards. Yet the only viable competitor is Waze, which is also owned by Google.

  • Sygic, Here WeGO, and GO shot themselves in the foot or failed to maintain their benefits.
  • Garmin and TomTom forgot to hire real mobile devs.
  • OSMAnd actually does have a slick modern routing system and navigation, but the graphical engine looks like it came out 20 years ago.
