mosiacmango,

Crispy jalapenos are an option too. They would fit two parts of this recipe.

Is there an easy way to stream full bluray disc rips with menus and features over the network to my TV

Most of my collection is just the movie rips of just the video that play fine in Plex or Jellyfin. I’ve got a couple of full disc rips though that have the menus and features and all just like you would if you put the disc in. I can open these in VLC on my computer by choosing the folder....

Kodi can play discs if you rip them directly, menus and all.

If you already have plex setup, add the “plexkodiconnector” addon. It replaces kodis inbuilt, standalone media db with Plex, which gives some nice features like media sync between devices and intro skipping.

Jellyfin can do this with its kodi plugin as well.

I dont personally use this feature, but I know it’s supported.

I would try a different ripped format. They should be .iso files, which is a direct copy of the disc. Kodi will load them like a virtual bluray drive.

This thread may also help you if you run into menu issues.

I know plently of helpdesk guys that do engineering, if engineering is “identify an issue, find and implement a fix.” Its varying degrees of rudimentary, but the same could be said about anyone in conputer science.

The truth is no one in computer science, programmers, SREs or otherwise, are licensed engineers. Why does a programmer have more of a claim to an unearned title than anyone else in the field?

mosiacmango,

Motherfucker almost killed the entire crew with cheese.

Fucking cheese.

Janeway shouldn’t have stopped with tuvox.

US residents: What big domestic policy improvements have the american people won from congress in the last 30 years? (kbin.social)

Interpret improvements as you like. For me it's any large scale reforms or legislative packages designed to improve the country for all or see to the material interests of the majority without overly benefiting the elite....

The $35/month in the IRA goes into effect for Medicare part D jan 1st. So at the moment, it has not kicked in and you apprently do not qualify.

However, it spurred the biggest insulin producers to cap insulin prices to $35 for most everyone, including people on private insurance, starting Jan 1st.. This is undoubtedly to prevent regulation forcing them to reduce prices, but it will likely stick due to that threat.

So congrats, you should be saving $165/month starting in a few days.

If buying isnt owning, piracy isnt stealing.

Yes, but its fraud in a system designed at every level to defraud you, so fuck um. Get healthy in any way you can because the system itself sure won’t help you.

They screw you, you screw them is the American way, so bravo for the lawyer for being honest about the game.

mosiacmango,

Buccee’s is apprently pretty shitty to their employees, so it’s more like DS9 run by Quark.

Corporations are already at maximum union retaliation as the default setting. The only thing left is the pinkertons, and somehow I doubt that will fly nowadays.

Opensuse is a challenge after living in Debian world for a while.

Pop-os is where I eventually ended up. Ubuntu with built in i3 style tiling and none of the snap garbage.

mosiacmango,

Is that because their trucks are just so nice to hold up that you like to nip out for a good stretch, or…

Lots of the bags are bio-degradable, so they will eventually, in some unit of months or years, break down.

Of course, its the same issue as chucking a banana peel. It fucks with the local environment and will take a long time to be “gone” if you just throw it into a forest and walk away. Enough people do that, and eventually you have a trail covered in shit and bananas.

Dr. Becket is in for a wild ride this leap.

I assume the spore drive is in a wood box in section 31s “neato beans” warehouse next to Rikers “phase through matter and I guess go invisible whatever do what you want bro” cloak.

mosiacmango,

The federation prioritizes rights like privacy, so I’m sure you can have private programs. It’s a military vessel, so it’s likely there are caveats, but I think “private” is probally the default.

I also think Barkley and The Dancing Doctor are freaky enough to publically share their porn.

mosiacmango,

Ohh yeah, you always get more evil, but it is earnestly less of it.

You prefer +1 evil or +10 evil? That’s our system of government. Push for voting reforms, which neither evil likes, but you are more likely to get with +1 evil then +10.

mosiacmango,

Seven and the doctor present “Sweeney todd” via the holodeck would have been about 1000x better than any tom paris holodeck episode.

I think they both had the vocal chops to actually do it too.

How are in-store pickup sales tracked for revenue?

So, obviously, if you go to a brick-n-mortar store and buy something there, it counts as a sale for the store, with stores that don’t get enough sales often closing. But if I order something online from, say, Best Buy and pick it up in store, how is that tracked? Does it count as a sale for the store, even though I didn’t...

mosiacmango, (edited )

That makes the most sense to me. The employees have to receive, process, package and deliver that to a person, which is pretty in store heavy.

mosiacmango,

If youre landlord is following your social media, something in you life has gone fucking sideways.

mosiacmango,

Experian offers a service called “theworknumber” that will sell you income data to anyone for $60.

You cant opt out because fuck american laws, but you can demand they “freeze” it like credit, so any inquiry is just rejected.

mosiacmango,

Check out the YouTube channel “not just bikes.” He has a lot of great videos about car centric urban design.
