ryathal,

If you cook with less water, you need to stir.

ryathal,

Straight to hell. Suprised you managed to type this out before the demons got you.

ryathal,

The union said they weren’t allowed to leave and won, so technically they didn’t leave. That’s what makes civil wars difficult, you have to find a way to live with the losing side after.

ryathal,

There also still Americans, which is what makes civil wars more complicated.

ryathal,

No debt is good, but a mortgage is at least not bad if it’s affordable.

ryathal,

My first thought is what does this have to do with the grinch.

ryathal,

States that mandate signs about lane closures being really far out claim it makes traffic flow better. In my experience it just makes traffic stop in a different spot and is likely worse than zipper merges.

ryathal,

She also had the dragons burn the unsullied makers, and some Westeros knights, an was talked down from a handful of bad ideas she wanted to do.

ryathal,

Honestly a huge amount of people overlooked the red flags with Danerys, because reasons. The final flip to full on crazy was poorly done, but there was a history of violent and cruel outbursts.

ryathal,

It only feels grounded because you get her pov and the other side is obviously bad (according to her), so they totally deserved it. She showed up to several cities, murdered the fuck out of them, took what she wanted and left. Yes the turn to full on evil was handled poorly, but all the signs were there before hand. Tyrion’s speech after the fact said as much.

ryathal,

Riboflavin-Flavored, Non-Carbonated, Polyunsaturated Blood. 45 grave

ryathal,

You’re right about exercise. I’d go even farther and say don’t even bother with dedicated exercise if you’re just starting to lose weight, because it’s completely irrelevant to the weight loss part.

ryathal,

1812 when the Whitehouse was burning. The great depression/dustbowl. Mccartyism era, Vietnam War, Civil rights protests and race riots…

ryathal,

The overly sweet crap at most restaurants can go straight in the trash.

ryathal,

It’s not that complicated, the land in question has been owned by a conquering empire for the better part of two millenia. After WWII and emipres falling out of favor, splitting it up was decided. The locals didn’t like the jews getting a country and attacked, they lost. They mobilized for round two, and Israel hit first and won again. Since then Israel started giving back land it seized to the respective countries, in exchange for not attacking again. The region has been at an uneasy truce for 50ish years other than Palestine launching terrorist attacks every few years.

ryathal,

In this case the land owner has been renting for 100 years and doesn’t really care what the tenant thinks.

ryathal,

You must not be in the US, Aldi is the only place I’ve ever seen sitting cashiers in the US.

ryathal,

By the letter of the law it probably is, but if they hadn’t expressly been told not to it won’t go anywhere.

ryathal,

Reagan dismantled the mental health institutions which were commonly abusive to patients and featured no objective pathway to release for those committed. They were basically prisons for the mentally ill and undesirable that hadn’t already committed crimes. They did successfully isolate a handful of truly dangerous people though.

ryathal,

Private ownership of guns is allowed, asking why anyone needs it is non sequitur.

You need to decide if you are ok with living in a free society or not. In a free society people are going to be able to do bad stuff sometimes.

ryathal,

You know mail order guns were a thing for a while right? Even fully automatic stuff.

ryathal,

Exceptions for active military can work because they are subject to the far more strict ucmj. Cops are a real problem though, they kill 1000 or so people every year with minimal consequence.
