teamevil,

Okay good I’m not crazy, I remember having them when I was a kid but now in my 40s I don’t.

teamevil,

They cash cab guy and Chris from the wire in the same short‽ Insanity!

teamevil,

My wife just showed me that for the first time when I sent her the comic.

teamevil,

We’re the largest exporter of oil in the world right‽

teamevil,

Let’s do some awkward wedding crashing, we’ll be the life of the reception!

teamevil, (edited )

Thank FUCKING God she’s someone else’s problem now…guys if she likes to look at herself in the mirror while banging…look for narcissistic tendencies…I wasn’t perfect but she was a terrible human being.

Edit: she was terrible for lots of reasons. Also she still owes money that I’m definitely holding my breath waiting to receive. Hahaha…grow yourself and find a partner not a codependent malignant soul.

Best Linux Distro for a tablet?

Been wanting to put Linux on my Surface Pro 7, but when i tried it with Ubuntu, it didn’t work as well as I’d like. I used the Surface driver kernel, but Ubuntu wasn’t really good with touch. It couldn’t give a pop up keyboard (only showed up when logging into my account, but never beyond that). Sometimes it wouldn’t...

teamevil,

But they sure did by selling extra copies, plus if the game was good we’d buy it. I’m convinced the TG-16 never took off because they didn’t let places rent games.

Plus game rentals made owning a console more attractive and that means perhaps more potential sales for all games you’ve produced.

Short view you’re right, long view I think rentals helped the industry much more than hurt it back then.

teamevil,

I remember buying a book with the secrets of Super Mario Bros (and other NES) games typed backwards so you had to use a mirror to know how to warp from 1-2 to 4-2 to get to 8-1.

I doubt I’d have finished…but I’ve got a TG-16 I can’t beat anything on.

teamevil,

I remember my mind was blown when my cousin born in 75 knew all the secrets on the first level of Super Mario Bros

teamevil,

But game boy has its own games. TurboGrafx-16 and TurboExpress (colored handheld) used the exact same games. Battery life did suck.

teamevil,

What is funny is that we remember Nintendo still. NEC’s TurboGrafx -16 failed because you couldn’t rent games.

teamevil,

I’m using Pop OS on a couple devices and I like it, but it also gets temporary hung up frequently. It’s irritating when I’m only doing one thing.

teamevil,

I’d suggest looking at one of the slightly older Surface Pro units. They are cheap and I love them.

teamevil,

Best part is thanks to Adjit Pai they can also throttle your internet before you hit the cap. Thanks FCC

teamevil,

I bought 3 Monster Magnet albums looking for Mean Machine

teamevil,

I’ll have to check it out…I found Kyuss the same way and thank god for that.

teamevil,

I just got to college in 2000 and had highspeed Napster. From there I found some sketch Russian site I could get music from for a few years in the early 2000s but there was also a huge used CD store in my college town with reasonable prices I used to frequent. Now days if I want to find a bunch of new music I dont know, Usenet for the win. But honestly most of the stuff I like is on bandcamp usually and I will go buy the bands I find on use net. My best discovery has been Brant Bjork (he played drums in Kyuss but makes chill ass rock) and PallBearer and Arkansas doom band that is pretty great. I have since purchased their catalogue on Vinyl, mostly on band camp because it is hard to find in stores.

teamevil,

I bought 3 Monster Magnet albums for Sugar Ray’s Mean Machine…on the plus side FUCKING Monster Magnet led me to The Atomic Bitchwax, Nebula, Kyuss, Low Rider, Fu Manchu, Orange Goblin, Dozer, Spiritual Beggars and more Stoner fun.

This fast food order kiosk accepts cash (mander.xyz)

All the McD*nalds in my area have been upgraded with order kiosks. Regardless of all the controversy around self-checkout, and minimum wage, and automation taking our jobs, I personally love them. I can take my sweet time composing my order, I can see the full selection (such as it is), I can see pictures and prices clearly...

teamevil,

The McDonald’s kiosks are hands down the absolute fucking worst I’ve ever seen. With all the self checkout systems that work perfectly easily McDonald’s chose utter shite. I quit going just because of how shitty they are.

New anti-VPN measures at BBC

Today, for the first time, I couldn’t use iplayer. As usual, I switched country to UK, cleared browsing data, deleted everything from temp app data file before going there. Was using Firefox. Tried same procedure with Epic browser. Same result. Chatted with Nord support. They wanted screenshots of results from dnsleaktest dot...

teamevil,

Not Amazon warehouse employees, they're tracked and rely on Gatorade bottles.
