user224,

Basically just anything I can while waiting for time to pass. I can’t get deeper into something, because there’s not enough time. Usually that ends up being walking back and forth and thinking, having a fake conversation in my head.

like when sitting in the train

I don’t consider that idle time, but a fun activity. I often take a train or bus nowhere. That means, as far as I can go and back. Or try to make my commute as long as possible. For example, I found nice connections allowing me to extend my commute from school from just 18km to 133km, and it’s only €0.90 more expensive.

user224,

I am just imagining Freddie Krueger visiting you in your dreams for therapy sessions.

Faking Pixel 5a

I’ve read on reddit that Google still provides unlimited photos backup if you own Pixel 5a and lower. On rooted Android you can fake that and get free backup storage, but who wants to give pictures to Google?! I was thinking if it’s possible or done by someone to create an environment on Docker by faking device info to...

user224,

I am not sure that can be done. For some devices, the free backups only apply to “Storage saver” quality, which means decreasing resolution and quality, which obviously couldn’t be done here.
Secondly, there is some file size limit. I think 50MB/image, but you could split the files, if it worked in the first place.

late 00s

I was really confused at first because I thought of 1900s.

user224,

I really wish I could use those roads for transport using a bicycle. I just don’t feel like being passed by a truck moving at 80km/h just a few centimeters away in a curve with bad visibility, potentially even with fog in the morning.

You can make multiple extra lanes for cars, but not a single lane for bicycles?

user224,

Not all of them.

user224,

I hear fine, I just have an issue understanding human speech. It just sounds like noise sometimes.

Don’t try to make it seem safer than it is. More telling name for Dihydrogen Monoxide is Hydroxic Acid.
Hydroxic Acid has Ph level of 7, which is highest of all acids. It easily damages metals like iron and even steel.
Furthermore, it can cause fire or even violent explosions in contact with alkali metals.
Under the influence of electricity, it will also produce highly explosive, odorless gas.

STAY AWAY FROM HYDROXIC ACID!!!

user224,

I don’t download full albums, just individual songs I like.

The sources are basically anywhere I hear music, but generally, it’s by listening to radio.

As of now, this has already got me to 1,179 songs with 3 in queue to be downloaded. (If you’re curious, those in queue are: Dana International - Diva; New Kids On The Block - Step By Step; Prince - Purple rain)
It is hard to call it discovery in this case, more like a reminder of the songs since I knew them already.

Other sources include, but are not limited to: Browsing YouTube playlists, searching for artists to see if they have more good songs, buying a CD compilation, searching for someone’s Spotify playlist after peeking into their phone when I liked multiple songs (they didn’t want to share the playlist, but left it “public”), Bus Simulator Ultimate (there I discovered 2 artists, Melihcan and Cem Kılıç), old tapes, bus driver with a Bluetooth speaker (and me with Shazam), parts of songs randomly appearing in my head from who knows where, background music in videos.

As I said, everywhere I can hear music.

user224,

To be honest, I have no idea what gas costs, and as such what it translates to.

And yeah, I am from Europe.

user224,

I use public transport 😎

user224,

I don’t have any, but if it had that laser thing on top, I’d call it Geoff, referencing the DIY electric car from top gear

user224,

I know, it’s stupid, but anyway…

“If I don’t survive, tell everyone I used GNU+Linux, btw.”

But realistically, I’d probably be repeating this to myself: “Do not talk right after you wake up! Do not talk right after you wake up! Check the time, wait at least 2 hours. Do not trust yourself right after you wake up!” in hope that I’d remember to do so as to not accidentally disclose private information while still being high.

I know this is not how dbzer0 works, but can you help me get cs 1.6 working on my linux system ? (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

I downloaded the game from soft32 (this file used to work on the old days). I installed both WINE and Lutris, but the game runs like sh**t. I get .NET and Vulkan errors from Lutris&WINE. Can you give me a newbie friendly guide for the right way? I’m tired of scrapping the web and it doesn’t help that I have limited data....

user224,

Wait, what happened to CS:GO?

I only tried playing it twice, but it really didn’t like running on my computer.

user224,

Umm, 1 marijuana and 1 crack please.
I am not a cop.

user224,

^beep boop, I’m a human but if you want you can call me a good girl, if you found this useful^

You need to do that on every word. Spaces divide it.

^beep^ ^boop,^ ^I’m^ ^a^ ^human^ ^but^ ^if^ ^you^ ^want^ ^you^ ^can^ ^call^ ^me^ ^a^ ^good^ ^girl,^ ^if^ ^you^ ^found^ ^this^ ^useful^

Like so ^

And, good girl. 👍

user224,

Well, I do have to agree Android 7 is the last great Android version.

user224,

By the way, I get free backups in Google Photos with PixelExperience, because it’s free for my “Google Pixel 5”.
