HubertManne, in Why do most people refuse to accept that they are wrong
@HubertManne@kbin.social avatar

Truth is a difficult place to get there and the farther you stray from it the harder it is to get to. This is why those who lie intentionally eventually find themselves not living in reality. IE our worst politicians.

0/10 got switched with…

w00, in Wat is your favorite breathing technique and what effect does it bestow?

You now breathe manually

wkk,

You can see your own nose.

Your tongue is sitting behind your teeth in your mouth.

Have fun.

Same here. I don’t call myself a truth seeker because I already know the truth, I call myself a truth seeker because I’m a truth seeker, but I get a more premeditated/artificial vibe from other people. Is it that people forget that leading thinkers actually embraced change? A lot of political theorists, one might say including Karl Marx, are said to have died with different ideas than when they began.

On the opposite end of things, I also get a disapproving reaction when I mention this. I remember long ago I made a fake game picture of a “Pokémon trainer” version of me declaring defeat, which was supposed to be put at the end of discussions to signify I considered myself schooled, and people reacted accusing me of “excess pomp” to quote one person.

Zellith, in How would you rate my stick?

I've never had a stick as good tbh.

vynlwombat, in How would you rate my stick?

Brother, that’s a solid 10

Num10ck, in Wat is your favorite breathing technique and what effect does it bestow?

when you are choaking and can’t breathe in your mouth, use your nose.

It would be a good way for us to branch out.

No let’s not. People will start off mildly, but as the popularity of the sub rises, you will get chumps chopping down trees to make the perfect stick.

Then you get the lathe guys muddying the rules of the competition, and then the sub becomes either a pinewood derby stick contest (with permitted parts), or a how-to-make-a-batting-club bonanza.

No, I’m out. closes curtains

There is !stick

cjsolx, in How would you rate my stick?

That’s a 9/10 stick you got there buddy, would def take it hiking.

Presi300, in What game do you play to just chill?
@Presi300@lemmy.world avatar

Warframe, it’s my “no thought, head empty, just shoot things” game

CluelessDude,

As a veteran of the game I keep coming back to it from time to time it’s a really nice way to relax.

What MR are you?

CluelessDude,

I stopped at L1, I play on and off nowadays.

Presi300,
@Presi300@lemmy.world avatar

Damn, how many hours didit take you to reach LR1?

CluelessDude,

Well I’ve been playing since closed beta so like 10y and something at this point, but you can definitely go over my MR fairly easily, MR is about collecting things not really skill related, of course there’s still some time invested.

Presi300,
@Presi300@lemmy.world avatar

Damn, I’ve been playing semi-consistently since 2021 and just cannot bring myself to rank MR above 16 lol

CluelessDude,

Easiest way would be to go to your codex, select a category, melee for example and make and level up every single weapon there, sentinels, warframes you get the idea, anything you can level up gives mastery, even completing the star chart by unlocking every mission, somethings will be harder or expensive to get or behind multiple days of farm aka most of stuff in open world but that’s how everyone does it.

Oisteink, in How would you rate my stick?

Without any reference it might as well be a twig. What’s the upper, middle and lower circumference or diameter in mm?

Pilokyoma, (edited ) in Can licking an iron bar get you the daily recommended amount of iron?

good question

jiberish, in How would you rate my stick?

8/10. I would definitely find a use for this stick on an adventure.

spittingimage, in Why do most people refuse to accept that they are wrong
@spittingimage@lemmy.world avatar

Because I’m not! I’m not I’m not I’m not!

More seriously, we tend to make it a Great Big Thing when people are wrong. If we acknowledge it and move on, and let them do the same, I’m sure admitting when we’re wrong would be much less painful.

ElleChaise, in How would you rate my stick?

What's that, about 3/4" at the top? Seems sturdy, reliable. It could use some decorating, maybe a feather or rounded-off handle. Nice and straight too, not too rigid but not too curved up... I'd give this stick a 7.2 out of a maximum possible score of 10.

EmoBean,

Everyone is over rating this, low to mid 7/10 is accurate. It’s a very nice stick but far from a 10/10. I guess there is personal preference, but there’s a real 10/10 out there for everyone that I hope you guys get to experience one day. I had a solid 9/10 stick that I used hiking for years.
