FartsWithAnAccent, in How would you rate my stick?
@FartsWithAnAccent@lemmy.world avatar

What do you want to do with the stick?

TheGiantKorean,
@TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world avatar

Like, you know, stick stuff.

FartsWithAnAccent,
@FartsWithAnAccent@lemmy.world avatar

That is a vast field of science.

Lord_ToRA,

He’s gonna stick it to the man!

Goatastic, in How would you rate my stick?

You got a ten from all 3 of my boys.

intensely_human, in How would you rate my stick?

7/10. Good form, but that wet side makes me worry it could be weakened by rot.

With evidence of a successful truck smack test, I’d be open to raising my rating.

intensely_human,

TRUNK smack. I hate autocorrect

stolid_agnostic, in Why do most people refuse to accept that they are wrong

Insecurity. People are afraid of being perceived as weak and don’t have the emotional maturity to work through it. They can’t see that it’s a sign of confidence and strength to be able to do so.

Sensitivezombie,

This. The only real answer.

b0gl, in What game do you play to just chill?

I play Tibia. It’s an old 2d MMORPG with endless grinding. Loads of quests and a playerbase where the average age is like 28.

Salix, in What game do you play to just chill?

For me, it is Nova Drift. It has been the game I go to when I just want to relax and chill.

TheGiantKorean, in What game do you play to just chill?
@TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world avatar

Shattered Pixel Dungeon. Which is weird because it’s actually quite frustrating, but super rewarding if you win.

gac11,

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup has a similar feel to it. It’s a lot more involved if you want way more variables to play with. There’s and Android port from PC that takes some getting used to, but is pretty fun to play over and over.

TheGiantKorean,
@TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world avatar

I need to check this one out again. A friend of mine highly recommended it.

DashboTreeFrog,

I played this a bit on mobile and really enjoyed it, not sure why I stopped in retrospect, I was never able to beat it even once. Another one where dying isn’t a big deal cause replaying is part of the fun. Been thinking of checking it out on PC but just never got around to it

TheGiantKorean,
@TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world avatar

Hit me up if you ever need any tips. I’m not the best out there, but I’ve won with all 5 classes. Currently working on winning with all 9 challenges on.

zabadoh,

I find the boss battles in Pixel Dingeon too difficult when I am forced into them before my character is ready.

Pathos Nethack is a better mobile dungeon crawler with no time pressure for the fixed encounters.

TheGiantKorean,
@TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world avatar

I’m check it out!

RememberTheApollo, in Why do most people refuse to accept that they are wrong

On the other side of the coin - why do so many people give others shit for being wrong, especially in areas where right or wrong has no real consequences?

dvoraqs,

Others with bad decision making or reasoning skills has no consequence?

wildcardology, in What game do you play to just chill?

Elder Scrolls Online for me.

pomodoro_longbreak,
@pomodoro_longbreak@sh.itjust.works avatar

Oh interesting. I’ve eyed it over the years, but I think this is the one and only instance of positive word-of-mouth I’ve heard for it.

I heard it has Elsweyr, which I’ve always wanted to see portrayed.

wildcardology, (edited )

I like it, it’s open world so you can grind or play as casually as you can. I like to explore the maps and kill enemies on my way. Some days I grind somedays I just chill.

Edit: I believe North and south Elsweyr are not in The base game. It’s available as a subscription to ESO+

KeefChief13, in How would you rate my stick?

Id say 8/10

RIP_Cheems, (edited ) in Would you choose invisibility or teleportation?
@RIP_Cheems@lemmy.world avatar

Depends on the situation. On the one hand, you can choose to teleport and go anywhere instantly and be able to save time, money, and get tasks done faster. On the other hand, you could choose invisibility to avoid Carl the office dickhead and prank the shitty hr department.

leaky_shower_thought, in Wat is your favorite breathing technique and what effect does it bestow?

3/1/4-5/2-4

for added stability and/or situational awareness

Kit, in How would you rate my stick?

You gotta tie a wiffle ball on top to make a badass wizard staff. Then it will be 10/10.

RIP_Cheems, in Why do most people refuse to accept that they are wrong
@RIP_Cheems@lemmy.world avatar

The answer is 1: they’re stubborn, but more importantly 2: it’s because the human brainly is wired to hate conflicting ideas. Quite literally, when a belief or idea of yours in countered, your brain tells you “your feeling pain and in danger”, and this applies to every person, though some people feel it more strongly than others.

RIP_Cheems, in What makes video games addictive for you?
@RIP_Cheems@lemmy.world avatar

It depends on many things for me. Right now I’m playing serious sam Siberia mayhem, which is actually really fun. It has smooth and fast based combat as well as swarms of difficult enemies. Highly story rich games are also fun to me, such as as metal gear rising: revengance.
