Kolanaki, in Baldur’s Gate 3 Slyly Adds Jiggle Physics For D**ks, Balls
@Kolanaki@yiffit.net avatar

Now give me a thrusting animation so I can stand on boxes in front of NPCs and slap them with my floppy dongus.

MoonMoon, in The bard we need, not the one we deserve

That, my friend, is Inigo Montoya. You should know, since you killed his father.

nifty, in What having a bard in the party is like
@nifty@lemmy.world avatar

To me Bards are all about using charisma to avoid fights, or create distractions while the rest of the party does the important work.

johannesvanderwhales,

But if you play a sorcerer, you can have charisma for when you want to avoid fights and fireballs for when you don’t!

captain_oni,

But if you’re a lore bard, you get both fireball AND eldritch blast for when you don’t want to avoid fights.

Anticorp,

A dex based bard with two levels in paladin is easily the most powerful build in this game.

troyunrau, in [Spoilers] I bought my friend BG3 for Christmas and
@troyunrau@lemmy.ca avatar

It’s fun getting commentary from newbies – makes me want to start a new run all fresh and innocent like :)

Maybe I’ll play something older, like BG2 or Planescape: Torment or something – to scratch that itch again

Nima, in Pro tip: use those empty pouches/ backpacks for item organization
@Nima@lemmy.world avatar

I pick up every tiny pouch I see because they don’t take up space and they force me to not bring the entire kitchen sink with me everywhere. to make space for important drops or other things.

You can do like one for pots, one for explosives and arrows, etc.

I also take it a step further and use a goody bag system when it comes to gear for members I’m not using right now, but I will later. I store all their upgraded gear in a pouch along with anything else I think they might need.

If I’m taking someone out and it’s been a while, I have them go grab their little goody bag 😊 then they got everything all neat and organized and ready to go.

it saves me going “wait… were these for Gale? or Wyll. I can’t remember…” pain in the ass. Just make a little goody bag for them. Then you can organize now and save future you a headache!

papalonian,

That’s actually brilliant, I feel so behind everyone else with their nested pouches and item-forwarding systems.

Nima,
@Nima@lemmy.world avatar

it’s really just to save me the hassle of having to remember the next day. like “… wait who was this for?” and having to try and figure out who I’d decided to give it to the night before.

grab all the pouches! I probably have tons in my camp chest right now just waiting to be used. lol

small pouches are also a handy way of packing explosives into one small concentrated area 😉

Nepenthe,
@Nepenthe@kbin.social avatar

Oh, that's brilliant. Why am I not doing that. I should probably start doing that. Really, I probably need to make myself a "souvenirs" pouch, too, for all the things that hold some sentimental importance.

I've just been picking carefully around everything every time I grab stuff to sell, and now I feel like a caveman whose friend has just demonstrated Hit Thing With Rock

TheActualDevil,

I have a gilded chest in my camp supplies specifically for souvenirs. I also use chests for organization in the same camp chest. One for each weapon/armor type that I’m holding onto in case I decide to respec someone later and I need a different aspect on their armor.

BrianTheeBiscuiteer, in Missclicks in Honour Mode

There’s been at least a dozen times where I meant to switch party members and ended up attacking them instead. Really wish there was a confirmation click. I think I’ve had to hit a party member only one time ever because they were asleep or whatnot.

iHUNTcriminals, in Anyone else having characters not moving their lips during dialog?

teft, in Patch #5 Now Live! Version Number: 4.1.1.4061076

Wild Shapes that do not have weapons will now benefit from having the Tavern Brawler feat.

Gonna be a barBearian now.

girl, in Companion love

Shadowheart’s “she looks like she could throw me over her shoulder and carry me to safety” really made me wish this was a thing lol. Also, this makes me wanna get buff, cause DAMN Karlach

PugJesus,
@PugJesus@kbin.social avatar

"s-should the need arise"

Yes, Shadowheart, I am sure that's why you were considering that. Necessity.

harry_balzac, in Metal tastes of the party

Wyll can have the aux

People who think Gale would be into metal at all have clearly not recognized him as Hipster Incarnate.

Gale is on the right. “Danny Bear” of Toast of London.

Wutchilli, in They deserve it

I cant wait to finally play it over the Christmas time

twistypencil,

You might need more time

OscarRobin,

80hr in and literally just started Act 2 lmao

twistypencil,

Yeah, I’m just cleaning up in the underdark, then I have some surface stuff to do before I got to act 2

CADmonkey, in Baldur's Gate 3 Stats Reveal Who the Most-Romanced Character Is and More - IGN

Karlach, all the way. And not just because she’s a 7ft tall beast of a woman with a machine for a heart who “Winks at her foes as she slays them”, but because her personality is very close to my wife’s.

Also, there is a specific scream that Karlach does when enraged that flips all my switches.

Hairyblue,

Also, there is a specific scream that Karlach does when enraged that flips all my switches.

I enjoyed reading that.

CADmonkey,

As much as I enjoy the scream?

Fun fact, my wife found out I liked it. And she ssid “I bet I could do that”. She didn’t get it quite right the first time, but she nailed it the second time. Which just flipped those switches even harder.

Greenb33,

This is oddly endearing.

SatansMaggotyCumFart,

The spirit is willing but the flesh is bruised and spongy.

twistypencil, in Baldur's Gate 3 colossal new patch adds a playable epilogue set six months after the game ends with 3,589 new lines of dialogue, 2 new difficulty modes, and I'm running out of headline space

Somehow, I’m still in act 1, 40 hours in and savoring the whole time

CaptPretentious,

Take your time brother. There is no rush. The game has literally been getting better with time.

agnomeunknown,
@agnomeunknown@lemmy.world avatar

Take your time, it’s worth it. I reluctantly finished my “first” playthrough (not counting my actual first attempt when I started as the dark urge and restarted after 20 hours because it was clearly fucking everything up) at around 250 hours played. This patch is making me consider starting again. Best game I’ve played in ages.
