It’s a comic strip so it fits the community. I guess some people are voting based on how well a posts fits a community which is often the right approach. For example if you see a news article you don’t like posted in a community titled “news” it would still be beneficial for the growth and diversity of the community to upvote the post.
I am 25 and I have one of those boomer cases on my phone. (a flipcase) I’ve bought it in August 2019 and it still doesn’t even have a scratch on the screen. Don’t care if I look like a boomer, that thing did cost me about 1000€ and I ain’t gonna replace it just for being careless.
