No Toes comes in at the most states with 25, including Texas, and the highest population at 139 million. Second is Animal Toes with 11 states and 93 million people, California being a big help there. Florida and New York help get the seven Toes states into 3rd with 75 million, and the last seven Shoes states, with no highly populous states, come in at 27 million.
Not saying this is all that would determine the winner of a war, I just wanted to see what the numbers look like.
This is slightly misleading. The Kansas flag, for example, does have human toes hidden by dirt rather than shoes (or shoes if we do not assume the farmer is standing in the plowed rut). I question the selection methodology. Since there are readily visible hooves on the KS flag as well as hidden human toes, should we assume that all of the yellow states also have human toes hidden? We can’t because of, for example, California, which has bear toes and no human.
