Sing it to the tune of Oasis Wonderwall

kameecoding,

Yeah cuz I have that on my mind

bonnetbee,

I read it to the tune of Smash Mouths All Star, worked as well.

DontRedditMyLemmy,

Okay, now I understand the post (lol) but still not the title. Thanks for getting me this far.

JPSound,

Remember when they called Oasis “the next Beatles?” Turns out that one guy vaguely resembled John Lennon when wearing those little circle glasses but that’s as close as they could get.

I think some of their songs are Beatle-esque - e.g. “Don’t Look Back in Anger.”

Blue_Morpho,

Most of their songs are Beatle-esque or have Beatle Easter eggs in the lyrics. Noel Gallagher was/is extremely vocal about being a Beatles fan and saying where he stole parts of Beatles songs/lyrics for his songs.

triclops6,

There was a disparaging scene about them in the Yesterday movie about the Beatles disappearing from existence with only one person remembering them,

The main character Googled for traces of the Beatles and was shocked to find there were none

Then when he googled Oasis and found nothing he was like “huh. Makes sense”

MeatsOfRage,

Probably the best gag in the whole movie

istoff,

Hey dude.

GeneralEmergency,

Maybe their legacy is felt a bit more in the UK where “Post Brit-Pop” is the term used to describe music clearly inspired by Oasis.

But they definitely have inspired a generation of musicians that the Beatles have.

JPSound,

I was definitely being cheeky but there’s no doubt they were a globally huge band at the time. Even in 95-96ish, 10 y/o me had the Morning Glory album as did most of my friends in our chilly little Wisconsin, USA town. I think we all thought they would end up far more influential in the future. Whatever lasting impression they made on the music scene, and no doubt they did just that, I don’t think it was quite the impact the whole world thought they would make back then. In the same breath, here we are still talking about them nearly 30 years later.

jaybone,

I’m a fan of all their hit song.

caesar_salad83,

anyway, here’s wonderwall

Scarronline,

I don’t believe thay anybody will not enjoy this food, so buy now.

Backbeat, the word is on the street the fire in your hearth is out I’m sure you’ve heard it all before but I don’t enjoy my food too cold

Psythik,

I don’t enjoy it. Falafel is awful. It feels like eating a brick made out of grain.

danielbln,

Have you tried not eating crappy Falafel?

Psythik,

I don’t know where to find such a thing. I’ve tried several halal restaurants and I hate it every time.

jaybone,

Bricks made out of grain is how you build a wonderwall.

Aggravationstation,

Or maybe, you’d prefer fried chicken with gravy

bofmar,

And after all, why not an extra Coke?
