Libertarians are morons in their own right but the core philosophy of libertarianism (in the political compass sense) is the opposite of authoritarianism, which is where fascism stems from. A group that doesn’t want centralized government can’t also want a centralized government that enforces sociopolitical ideology.
The more you throw around the word “fascist” to mean “anything right of me that I don’t like” the more the word loses meaning and becomes like the “communist” rallying cry of the boomers.
True, but are they actual libertarians, then? Wouldn’t they just be conservatives? You can call yourself whatever you want, actions are what define you.
I’ve had a deconstructed Caesar salad once. It had an anchovy on it. It was pretty good. Did I mention I’m part Sicilian?
Fun fact, anchovies are good in a certain foods, but pizza is definitely not one of them. I suspect its presence there has to do with pizza’s origins being something similar to focaccia. Anchovies, especially the salted ones in tins, should be used very sparingly.
Boeing and Raytheon are military contractors, and the US has characteristically kept itself in or around global conflict in order to continue handing out multi-billion dollar contracts to these companies (and more like them.) Weapons/Platform manufacturing and sales is a large portion of our economic output.
Ignoring the fact that it’s not even true… My favorite part of the fallout from that quote were all the Trump supporters, most of whom will never see $1mil in total earnings across their lives, scrambling to defend it as if it were a perfectly reasonable thing to say.
Like, “It’s just because he’s so rich that a million dollars really does seem like a small loan!”
Sure, okay Jim-Bob, and you’re dumb enough to believe a guy whose concept of money is that warped gives a damn about you? lol
