I know it’s not the actual AUR but it literally calls itself the AUR for Ubuntu

tubbadu,

Basically, the RUR

Dirk,
@Dirk@lemmy.ml avatar

There are some packages in the actual AUR that use the deb packages as source, extract them, and make them into something that can be installed using Pacman. So we’re going full circle now 😁

    yay is just a helper. If you don’t use a helper the installation is done with pacman -U packagename.pkg.tar.xz.

    Edit: aaah. Got it.

    Waluigis_Talking_Buttplug,

    This unironically

    I work in Louisiana, people down there freak the fuck out if it drops to low 60s and I’m in a Tshirt and shorts.

    Granted I’ll wear exactly that in 30 degrees

    Cort,

    Lived in Phoenix for a bit, and was surprised the first autumn when people started wearing jackets in the high 60s

    I’ve lived in SoCal for most of my life, but I love wearing sweaters. As soon as it gets cold enough for me to not have a heat stroke, I’m wearing one.

    Carlo,

    Yeah, living in Texas, I’ll seize any opportunity to wear a sweater or jacket that stays in the closet during our 10ish months of summer. You just miss out on so much accessorizing when it’s this damn hot all the time!

    veroxii,

    Yes but with shorts still, right?

    PaupersSerenade,
    @PaupersSerenade@sh.itjust.works avatar

    Of course! I’m not that suicidal

    HessiaNerd,

    LOL, this was great. Im a big guy who wears shorts cause I like the cold, and I have to ask, what other answer do yall expect to the stupid question of “aren’t you cold?” or “how are you not cold?”

    Dkarma,

    I had a buddy who never wore pants even in 20 below temps all through school.

    Darkenfolk,

    I guess he’s in jail now for public indecency?

    veroxii,

    You forgot about utility kilts.

    Darkenfolk,

    You know what? That’s fair. The utility kilts, how could I have forgotten about those.

    Makeitstop, in I have never understood that.

    Arctic creature here. I wear a kilt and t-shirt all year round. Sandals too, unless snow is recent enough that it won’t have been cleared from wherever I’ll be walking.

    I got to visit Scotland once and was told in no uncertain terms that we were not to refer to the weather as "cold."

    It might be brisk. It might even be bracing. But never cold. Has to be something to it.

    I especially find it weird, because castles and churches exist, too. Sure, they were somewhat further along with technology, when those got built, but it still took a ton of physical labor and at least churches weren’t built out of pure necessity either.
