FullOfBallooons, in Sockpuppet Society - An original Lemmy community for sockpuppeting (reenact real life events with socks, etc.)
@FullOfBallooons@leminal.space avatar

Do they have to be current-day events? Or can we recreate moments from history?

otter,

Historical sounds good too, it might be easier and in better taste too

The example post was from the early days of Reddit

Interesting initiative

Lamb,

Thank you. I’m strongly of the opinion Lemmy users ought to moderate their own experience through blocks/subscriptions, hence why I came up with that.

JackLSauce, in HailCorporate: Call Out Corporate Astroturfing on Lemmy

That name and image are really confusing with the stated intent of the community

captainastronaut, in In Person Activism - A Place for Getting Out and Changing Things

Love this idea. Hope it stays focused on things that are positive.

auk,

Thanks! And yeah, let’s see.

Blaze, in Welcome to Neurodivergence! The place to unite Neurodivergent folks.
@Blaze@discuss.tchncs.de avatar

Good luck! Iirc, there is also !adhd , !autism and !autisticandadhd

haui_lemmy,

Correct! They‘re great communities and I will link them in the sidebar soon. This community is focused on the unification of NDs rather than individual conditions.

There is a similar community on a big lemmy clone (I‘m joking, you know who I‘m talking about I hope) but I figured I‘d just do something. If they want to join the fediverse, I‘m glad.

sabreW4K3, in Is this Instance down?
@sabreW4K3@lemmy.tf avatar

Which is the main?

manucode,
@manucode@infosec.pub avatar

Preverably the one on infosec.pub. But if the majority of users prefers a different one, that one could also become the main community.

sabreW4K3,
@sabreW4K3@lemmy.tf avatar

I would recommend having a main one and shutting the rest. Otherwise people won’t know where to go

technohacker,
@technohacker@programming.dev avatar

I feel like that’d defeat the purpose of having redundancy in case the main instance itself goes down 🤔

Rentlar,
Annoyed_Crabby,

If the main one is down, where do they go? 🤔

nokturne213,

That’s the neat thing, you don’t.

otter, in Flipped Forecasts

Sounds fun!

If you make a sample post it might help, I’m a bit unsure what it should look like

Danterious,

I have a few in the community already, but I got some feedback from someone that I should do a few more that were shorter.

So tomorrow I’ll post shorter ones.

otter,

Ah ok, I think they haven’t federated over for me. I’ll keep an eye out for more :)

Oh man I am VERY into the idea of this community

ALostInquirer,

Thanks! Here’s to hoping it grows into a helpful space for folks! Remember to mention it to anyone else that might be interested!

do an AMA, sockpuppeting as someone else

JohnDClay, in World News on Kbin - under new moderation

You might want to make rules against solely is news that has some tenuous connection to the whole world. In the other place, they had a huge problem with world News being filled up with US centric stuff, so the interesting non us stuff got drowned out.

livus, (edited )
@livus@kbin.social avatar

@JohnDClay yes, good point, if that starts to happen we could tighten the rules further.

By the way, you might like the community I made when I first came to kbin, c/worldwithoutus@kbin.social. It was made as a space for non-US-centric content.

Subscribed, thanks!

Substance_P,

Subscribed also.

dhork, in Awesome AI

I got excited, but then realized this probably wasn’t a community about how awesome Weird Al is.

Oha,

We need a weird al community

Caboose12000, in Don't dead, open inside - poorly aligned words and letters.

this link keeps trying to open in a browser where I’m not logged in :(

otter,

Try !dontdeadopeninside

Or this link

Lemmy web UI seems to break the links if you click the autocomplete, i think that’s what happened above

FQQD,

yeah, i think it did, lemme fix it…

kogs,

Amazing.
