It’s like having a second toilet seat. Takes more room.
Not from the US and live in a condo, so I’m speaking from a purely practical standpoint. My condo is not that big and having a bidet would mean that I have no place to put my washer and dryer at.
I completely agree, I like LibreOffice way more than MS Office. It’s basically got the pre 2007 look and feel, and that is what I like and what I’m used to.
I just happen to work on getting MS Office working on Wine for a small local company and know a thing or two about getting it working in Wine.
Actually, not really. It’s becoming more like what a smart device would look/feel, which is what most people are accustomed to anyway by now. Sure, options and settings get removed left and right, but that is not a concern for your every day Joe. They just need something to do their taxes in or watch a movie or play a few dumb clips on YT, that’s it. Oh and of course it comes preinstalled with the computer, so they can do all that out of the box, great!
You ask any person that uses MS Office whether they like the pre-2007 menu layout (1997-2003) of Office or the new (post-2007) menu layout, you’ll always get the same answer, the post-2007 is better. Why? I really have no idea, but they say it’s better. Maybe it’s the thing with the icon buttons, or just having a ribbon with the most used tools, IDK. My point is, LibreOffice uses the pre-2007 classical layout. For most people, this is confusing. I find it simple and elegant, the way a GUI text/spreadsheet editor should look and feel. But, than again, I’m with computers since I was a kid, so drop down menus are not a new thing for me. People rarely use any menu that’s not a full screen one (or at least one that’s big enough to take away at least half the screen). Why? IDK, but I think smart devices are to blame for that.
Yeah, have done that a few times. Used to have a 20MBit/5MBit cable internet, it was hell to be honest. Still I’ve managed to seed well over 500 or 600GB a month on that thing (I never turned the PC off 😂). Now I got 50/50. I used to seed about 3 or 4TB a month, but I can’t have my PC on like that any more, the electric bill was too high 😔.
Not only that, I have reconstructed dead torrents from files I’ve downloaded elsewhere (file sharing sites). If the files and filenames are the same, the hash will match, thus the client will start to seed it 😉.
It used zeroconf/bonjur out of the box when no one else used it (or had to do some serious configs in order to get it working), that’s why. And, of course, since it’s the second most used OS other than Windows, printer manufacturers configured avahi/zeroconf/bonjur out of the box on their printers.
For reasons I may not disclose freely on the internet. I am going to celebrate new years eve this year by myself. Does anyone know of ways to solitarily celebrate new years eve?...
Dude, just get a bunch of weed and alcohol of your preference and just enjoy… I’d give my right leg if I could spend new year’s eve alone… or any other eve for that matter.
