Death_Equity,

The Knipex 5in cobras are a must buy.

I have 3.

Death_Equity,

This is what you want.

The Hairy Mary is the armored train engine you have at home.

Death_Equity,

Back of the package instructions for gags bought from a muggle magic shop found in a Vegas airport school of wizardry.

All of their alumni can be found performing at swap meets before AA meetings, I mean defense against dark potions class.

Death_Equity,

It would be a hand tool you give it for freedom.

Death_Equity,

Not sure, I might have just figured out Steven Wright’s Lemmy account.

Death_Equity,

Tell your friend they have a very bright future in a very dim part of the internet. For the best chances of success they will need a ring light and a conversational amount of Japanese, Chinese, and Russian.

Death_Equity,

I think we have all had coworkers like that and if someone hasn’t, they are that coworker.

Death_Equity,

They would have the Pennysaver, the WSJ, that local paper made by someone with a trust fund who practices “real” journalism, or some anti-government conspiracy “paper” made at Kinko’s.

Newspapers are going the way of the dodo.

Death_Equity,

Construction. Lots of abrasion, vibrations, moisture, impacts, various sealants, masonry dust, mortar mixes, etc. Basically it is not a great enviroment for electronics kept near your hands. I honestly expected the watch to last a few days and only my caution kept it going as long as it did. Though I did get it ripped off my wrist, the magnetic band sticking it to the truck saved it.

Death_Equity,

Women with large watches are an underappreciated aesthetic.

Death_Equity,

You need to maximize your financial potential. Get 5 husbands, why assume that 25% lower income per wife?

Death_Equity,

Luftkin makes a high contrast 8’ the size of most 6’ and it is glorious. I have one as a daily driver for work, cold dead hands.

The rest of their tape measures in that same line are great.

Death_Equity,

From your source:

While noise-canceling technology can effectively reduce the perception of external sounds, it does not necessarily eliminate the potential for hearing damage.

In noise-canceling headphones, a microphone captures external sounds, and the internal speaker generates a counteracting sound wave that is 180 degrees out of phase. This process effectively nullifies the external sound at ear level. However, it is important to note that the sound pressure from external noise sources still exists even with active noise cancellation in place.

Death_Equity,

Noise cancelling earbuds or similar do not protect your hearing.

They do not make a loud noise quiet. It does not matter if they are working or not. All they do is make noise seem quiet, you are still being exposed to the same level of noise.

Death_Equity,

ANC plays the inverse of the soundwaves. So a loud noise isn’t made safe, it is just made inaudible and just as loud and harmful.

They are not safety products, only sound deadening earplugs or muffs do that.

Death_Equity,

In all likelihood the food that was served came from a corporation that also feeds the prisons and jails, like Aramark.

Providing fresh and nutritious food is “too expensive”, so they put out a bid for a complete and cost-effective food service. Corporation picks it up. Due to corporations being legally required to make profit, they make the food as cheap as possible. End result is kids getting overly processed food that meets the minimum legal requirements, comes in a bag that is boiled or microwaved, and is very profitable for the investors.

Meanwhile the children of the people who make the decisions and who make money off those decisions go to a private school that is subsidized by everybody’s taxes and provide fresh made healthy meals.

All part of our lovely corrupt system of governance.
