That’s literally how they convinced people to vote against doing it when I lived in L.A. They called it “toilet to tap.” Now L.A. is running out of water and suddenly they’re desperate to do it.
Guess what? Animals piss and shit in municipal water supplies that aren’t recycled. Constantly.
I don’t know anything about this Pizzacake person, but I don’t think this specific comic is any worse than the average newspaper gag strip, except they wouldn’t tackle a subject like this. It didn’t make me laugh, but I also wouldn’t call it awful. I’d definitely read this over literally any Dilbert strip ever.
You all remember just a few weeks ago when Sony ripped away a bunch of movies and TV shows people “owned”? This ad is on Amazon. You can’t “own” it on Prime. You can just access it until they lose the license. How can they get away with lying like this?
I don’t agree that it is ‘morally correct’ to pay $20 for a shitty movie that cost over $100 million to make when that money could have gone to fund 5 much smaller, much better movies just so the studio could shovel money into their Scrooge McDuck moneybin with yet another multimedia tie-in.
I don’t think I’ve watched it since Tina Fey and Amy Poehler did Weekend Update and even then, I mostly just watched it for that part and TV’s Funhouse.
Fredric Brown wrote a fun very short story (he was known for page-long short stories) about a scientist who discovered immortality and took the serum, but he had a cold at the time, so the bacteria also became immortal, took over his body, became pneumonia and put him in a coma. Eventually, his colleagues buried him.
Edit: Found the story. Got the details slightly wrong, but the gist was the same- fb2.top/…/part-16
Yep. That’s what I thought. You do not get to make all Jews responsible for Israel’s apartheid and genocide. You’re taking a break from Lemmy Shitpost.
