I find it funny any time I check Reddit and see the people complaining in the comments. 'Whats going on with Reddit lately?', 'Why are there so many bots and so much spam as of late?'.

Memories of gerbils I swear, we fuckin' told you this was gonna happen. How are these simpletons surprised?! (I know I answered my own question there lol).

Go into your ublock origin settings and go to your My Filters section. Add:

www.youtube.com##+js(nano-stb, resolve(1), *, 0.001)

on a new line and apply. Should stop the delay from occuring.

kbin has been vastly lagging behind lemmy because for a lengthy period of time development has been effectively stopped as the primary dev (ernest) was going through some bad real life issues which took priority. This led to a lot of people leaving kbin or blocking it outright because of spam and bots and lack of updates.

Ernest returned a weekish ago and is back to publishing updates (including several which have already killed the spam problem, being able to transfer community ownership and more) and daily posts dictating what he's working on and pushing (including the API which should be within the next few days).

Lemmy at this point has had a huge head start and isn't basically one person so kbin lagging behind isn't surprising. Doesn't mean their statement of 'But this is also why Kbin is the best technology, combining both platforms.' is any less accurate. Kbin does combine both platforms, Lemmy doesn't. 'Best' can be subjective, but if that's their opinion then there ya go.

This was basically my situation, and it happened at age 4 so ironically some of my first memories are relating to my own circumcision 🙃. I also remember the doctor, with me laying on the table, trying to pull back my foreskin (again..4..) and making the call that I should be circumcised.

I'm not gonna gripe much about it after the fact. My mother did much, much worse things to me than have me circumcised for me to complain about so it's just one more thing on the pile. I have zero frame of reference to feeling what being uncircumcised is like so I can't really miss what I don't know, but my cock works as well as I want and need it to (fuck even more than I want it to some days at 40yo..) so while I'm not happy it occurred without my consent, there's little I can do with it and it has thankfully never affected my life in any negative way.

My wife and I are both in agreement however that should we ever have kids, we sure aren't doing it outside of actual medical needs.

Extra features like (apologies for the run-on sentence) being able to see upvotes and downvotes on threads and comments like lemmy admins can, better integration with mastodon, every community has both a 'reddit-like' section like Lemmy/Reddit, and a 'twitter-like' section which as I mentioned integrates with mastodon via hashtags, we can block users, communities, domains and (soon) instances, we have a wide variety of user-style scripts via Tampermonkey to customize the UI (the base UI is also, subjectively, better).

Given its all federated, you also don't lose anything by using kbin since you have access to lemmy too. Plus the dev is just the nicest, hard working son of a bitch lol.

Only drawback is we dont have an API yet, so for mobile you're stuck with the mobile site, but the mobile site is also really good so eh. Once the API is up tho there's a few apps which have already said they'll support kbin as well, so that's a matter of time.

EDIT: Don't want to make another microblog, so an edit is it. Sometimes when I'm upvoting a comment, it will give me an error. It's not just once, but repeatedly. Anyone know why?

New software is new, sadly. Growing pains over the last 2 weeks has been leading to random bugs and glitches. Should be resolved as they upgrade things, change coding, etc etc.
