I realize this won’t be a popular view, but I don’t think you should be able to use, and profit from, a character someone else created, regardless of how long ago they were created. The original work becoming public domain, sure, but write your own characters.

Given that people quite frequently try and present AI generated content as real, I’d say this will be a huge problem in the future.

In a lot of ways we aren’t though. The vast majority of people spend the vast majority of their time in a built environment of some type.

Even when we’re in the “outdoors”, most of us spend most of our time on manmade tracks or paths.

We engage with nature on our terms in a way that is very unique.

I’m kinda not surprised the FOSS community would end up on a communist instance, I’m actually considering just blocking the entire .ML instance at this point.
