Imgonnatrythis,

My research confirms my hypothesis 100% of the time (if your doesn’t, you aint researching hard enough) and if 5g is still out there you should still drink the bleach.

Imgonnatrythis,

Why? The trial literally just needs a BS working email address.

Imgonnatrythis,

“I rent seedbox at whatbox and want to share it’s content over people from soulseek”

I just can’t believe that’s a sentence.

Imgonnatrythis,

She must have one of those darned androids.

Imgonnatrythis,

Has ads by default by you can side load an ad free interface easily.

Imgonnatrythis,

Agree about the gunk issues, I do wish they were self cleaning, but not with the happy with what you have bit. Few people are actively exposed to trackballs. Give one a try and you might realize what you have is simply inferior for most tasks.

Imgonnatrythis,

How often do you use them? I now throw away almost every extra piece of anything and for the past 8 years or so I haven’t really regretted it and important stuff is easier to find without all the junk noise.

Imgonnatrythis,

Yeah but you could still screw with the software, limit updates, use cheap chips, and shame customers to make sure we all continue to throw our phones in the landfill every couple of years, but I would buy the phone that at least I won’t worry about breaking tomorrow. Phone case culture just seems so silly to me.

Imgonnatrythis,

Face-palm. We can’t have nice things.

Imgonnatrythis,

I mean, I guess you can try, but you’re going to be dissapointed every single time. 10/10 don’t recommend.

Imgonnatrythis,

I can’t even. Where are you getting that data? Unless the average person is driving a bmw they don’t start running into any kind of serious issues until 11-14years. Anything sooner than that is typically easily fixed and much cheaper than buying a new car. I don’t understand why people here don’t realize there is a huge push by advertisers and American culture to buy new cars well before they are needed. People want new cars >> than they need new cars. I’m not fabricating that. Even in a recession yes this mentality remains strong. If that’s important for you go for it I guess and yes of course buy electric or hybrid if you can. If you really want to make a carbon footprint dent though, hold off on buying a new car for a few years and with decent maintenance and minor repairs you will save yourself money and save the environment. Jesus

Imgonnatrythis,

I’m assuming nothing now other than this sub must be overrun by car salespeople. You all are insufferable. The average age of a used car being bought is 6years old, not 11-14. Also, no one is taking issue with the carbon footprint of buying used cars. That’s not the point of this post. Buying and maintaining a used car is a wonderfully conservative practice. People aren’t buying used electric cars (by and large). The point here the OP is making is that it’s better from a carbon footprint standpoint to not trade up to an electric (typically new car) than to keep an existing ICE car at least until it nears end of life. That is a factually accurate statement that all of you car sales people apparently are upset about.

Imgonnatrythis,

Wow. This is great, but man that seems like a lot of points of potential failure. Helpful to have a guide but this remains intimidating to me.

how to receive alert when comments removed?

Censorship is absolutely rampant on Lemmy. I don’t post particularly controversial stuff, but I am an active commenter and I’ve noticed that mods will just wipe my comments or those of others on a whim. I think this is a huge issue and one of the biggest downsides about switching from reddit. I very rarely had comments...

Imgonnatrythis,

Well super.

Imgonnatrythis,

Who knows. Maybe I put something really insightful there that stands alone. Fuck Lemmy for deleting comments without my consent.

Imgonnatrythis,

Yeah, that shouldnt be a thing.

Imgonnatrythis,

More specific? Some coms seem pretty aggressive about this and unlike reddit you don’t really get a notice. I do think mods should have to send an explanation when they remove a post unless it’s a repeat violation of the same rule.
