Jumuta,

i hated dark reader because it only works like 70% of the time, and often it doesn’t even look that good.

Jumuta, (edited )

the phrase “yall” melting my brain cells painfully, 1 cell at a time:

Jumuta,

I started with KDE neon and loved it. For me personally, the weird partial rolling release thing was really nice. I loved seeing YT people talk about the new KDE release and all of its bells and whistles, and being able to instantly play with it on release.

Jumuta,

I love vim and vim based editors.

I used to use stock Vim but recently I’ve started using Helix which is like a more user friendly version of vim (copying to clipboard is easy) and I’m loving it!

Jumuta,

Helix is pretty cool, I think the Lemmy devs use it too.

I use it because it’s purple and I like purple.

that’s just a coat, unless a coat can be an arm

Jumuta,

Xenia would not appreciate Google holding power over the entire internet

  • Jumuta,

mint and arch aren’t made for the same people. Not everyone wants it on by default

    Jumuta,

I think they would care if they knew the benefits of not having snaps.

There’s little to no advantage in having them, so why have them?

    Jumuta, (edited )

why? Do you mean “like” as in you’d rather have them than not, or that you think they’re a good way to package apps?

    Jumuta,

do you mean Kde neon? pretty sure kubuntu has snaps

    Jumuta, (edited )

I like it a lot, and the only issue I have with it is the windows style titlebar

    Jumuta, (edited )

probably not, coreboot only really supports old (<7th gen intel) platforms.

here’s a list of working platforms if you’re curious:

btwFS is so good btw, so much btr than Btrfs

    Jumuta,

use librewolf if you want privacy that much

    Jumuta,

boring is good for main computer

fun is good for a secondary computer/vm

    Jumuta,

    libreboot.org/docs/hardware/

also iirc starbook/system76 also does coreboot support

yesterday I posted a funny picture, and without any message, it got deleted from my profile.. how censure work here?

I can see why the picture was deleted, but shouldnt get a message telling me the exact reason. Or was it so downvoted, that message got deleted after some threshold… Like how you cant post for a few hours when you are downvoted ....

    Jumuta,

I think it’s pretty obvious why that was removed, the mods and hosters are paying volunteers and shouldn’t have to tell dumbasses that their offensive post is offensive
