Norgur,

Idk what the issue is:

  1. Unpack
  2. Install
  3. ?
  4. It just works
Norgur,

You ain't missing anything in that front.

Norgur,

I didn't say it was bad. Just that you're not missing anything if you don't play it. Where do I say it's really bad?

Norgur,

Yet, Temperature is not a nonlinear star-rating by IGN, is it?

Norgur,

The flooding of Amsterdam was really epic, 10/10 IGN

Norgur,

Oi! You! Back into the matrix, you useless excuse for a AA cell!

After 23 years, developer reveals he snuck a cheat code past Sony that turns a cult-classic horror game into a godsend for retro enthusiasts (www.gamesradar.com)

Article about a recent revelation by the Youtube Channel Modern Vintage Gaming: The game “Alien Resurrection” by Argonaut contains a code which allows to run burned CD copies of Playstation 1 games.

Norgur,

Because scalpers expected this to be in demand after the news broke and set their bots to buy every cheap copy by unknowing private sellers in order to create a oligopoly and heavily gauge pricing

We've seen this with the Witcher, we've seen it with GoT, we've seen it with LOTR: super artistic production teams which have their heads so deep up their own arses and are entrenched so deeply inside that weird removed-from-reality Hollywood bubble that they legitimately think they know better how to interpret the lore some world renowned author made than the author himself. Always ends in mediocre showsand hilarious interviews with said production teams where

a) everybody is wrong but them
b) bUt OuR vIsIoN

Norgur,

Thing is: They are working from the basis of media that has been successful already. So the amount of "dumbing down" neccessary to achieve a somewhat broad appeal has already been done by the author of the original, so to speak. Their argument doesn't hold any water whatsoever on no level imaginable.

Norgur,

Bruh, that shark totally had it coming.

"I have no Kazuki-san left"

Norgur,

So can prolongued contact to that one uncle. You know which one.

Norgur,

Any specific Youth jargon is only ever in fashion for one age-group at a time, so not knowing that doesn't make you old. When I left highschool, I didn't understand the freshman's jargon already.

Norgur,

Well, the renfaire people only get to be upset if this is the only anachronism in costumes

Norgur,

The very evening I installed Linux for the first time (I think it was Ubuntu 12.04), my Wifi stick was the first major hurdle. I was a teenager, had no idea about package managers and such, but the drivers for my stick were only available in an uncompiled format, so I had to first learn what build utils and kernel dev packages were, download them and their dependencies onto the windows PC of my dad and copy them onto a CD.

After I had figured all that out (took me.a while), I learned how to compile on the fly.

After I had run ./configure and it finallyfinally ran through without error, the config script had this last line:

Configure done successfully. Now type 'make' and pray

Things have changed over the years, but they haven't changed enough.

The early bird gets the worm they said.
You'll really be able to seize the day they said.

Fuck worms, fuck days, fuck this and fuck all of you. You lied.

Norgur,

Is this the birthplace of "instructions unclear, penis stuck in fan"?

Norgur,

It's almost as if the LLMs that got hyped to the moon and back are just word calculators doing stochastic calculations one word at a time... Oh wait...

No, seriously: all they are good for is making things sound fancy.

Norgur,

Holy shit that's a beautiful animal. Is this real?

Norgur,

Anybody else getting "I'm 14 and this is deep" vibes from this?

Norgur,

You hermetically seal her nether regions with the strongest est and water tightestes tape there will ever be? That's counterproductive.
