Alexander Graham Bell. How can the guy who invented the telephone be overlooked you ask? It’s actually pretty low on the list of his (yes this is subjective) coolest achievements. His Wikipedia page is a blast.
I like how in JJK it’s a chance to create variation in power levels while also allowing an in-universe reason to expo-dump about a character’s power.
It makes a shonen trope feel like these genius characters aren’t just giving away all their tricks for shits n giggles. But then sometimes we just get a total lack of explanation and that’s fine too because it’s more fun, and the character doesn’t need to (cough Sukuna)
The ol’ Brock effect, a character who’s job 90% of the time was to tell the audience what was going on. More forgivable in a kids show, used to happen way too much in more adult shows too
Similar to the recent question about artists where you can successfully separate them from their art. Are there any artists who did something so horrible, so despicable, that it has instantly invalidated all art that they have had any part in?
I think you missed their point. They explicitly said that you can at something is a good product and just not buy it because fuck that company. Same point with artists, they can be talented shitbags, we avoid them for the shitbag part, no other reason.
Because it’s not needed outside the eastern US. The vast majority of land around me is public and anyone can go out. Right to roam would just give me the right to trample through someone’s property when there’s plenty of public land to go around it with, which is what right to roam usually entails anyways.
This is genuinely a states issue and not something federal.
Too many people are paycheck to paycheck. They’re too afraid to commit to industry strikes, let alone a (illegal, cuz of fucking course it is) general strike.
Just because a guy in the past was a doctor doing shitty things is no reason to shit on x-ray techs. We really shouldn’t put one type of work above another.
It’s all the middle junk nobody wants which is why there’s so much of it.
Seriously tho, the historic context is that “The West” was west of the Mississippi river, which iirc got started calling that after the Louisiana Purchase. So the previous “west” wasn’t accurate enough so the states between the Mississippi and the Appalachian mountains (chiefly the northern states around the Great lakes). Then the area has just kind of expanded to include the plains states since they’re also flyover country
Pretty much, there’s some pretty clear distinction as well. Like you won’t find anyone on any part of a coast calling themself a midwesterner obv, but also the south east has the distinct trait of being The South, for better or worse. Usually worse. Southwest also gets a similar effect from being what everyone thinks of as “cowboy country”.
Just wanna point out that it’s “biodiesel and Industry” specifically because ethanol is added to almost all gas and more.
Ethanol is trashing engines and producing more waste via dead engines, all while providing jack shit for actual cleaner energy. The corn lobby landed ethanol requirements and it’s never going away now that they’ve found that revenue stream.
My guess is, since they eat coffee cherries, some farmer had his harvest ruined and washed the seeds out from the shit in desperation, just to get told it’s the best coffee somebody has ever had.
Considering how the civets treat coffee cherries, this would be like if some aliens were forcefeeding you glazed donuts for the same purpose. Abuse in many cases, but it started with a natural attraction being exploited. Ethical sources still uses attracted wild civets or cage free farms
