Games which needs a NASA computer and a half Google server to play it with more than 15 FPS are not necesarly better as some 15 years old games for Win XP, they only have somewhat better graphics.

Remembering old Games, like Black Messiah or Tomb Rider from 2013, which work at >30-50 FPS with a few Gigs HD and less than 4 Gigs RAM, apart of having very good graphics.

New games often also are badly optimized, needing way more min sys specs as needed for the quality they offer.

Someone remember the game kkrieger? A short 3D FPS in a single file with only 96 KB, that is art. It can still be downloaded (abandonware, Windows)

That what I mean. Companies often do not even bother to optimize the games, in order to sell them as quickly as possible. “Works? Ok, let’s start next, our CEO’s Ferrari needs a repair.”

I love The Dark Mod, it shows what it means to make a good Game, above it’s OpenSource and a game for years.

Nothing new, but it’s still a privacy centred search engine, but, same as Google search, whose engine does it use, puts advertisings, related to the search at the beginning of the results. It’s annoying but not put in risk your privacy. You can check it by yourself, with Webkoll, UrlVoid, Blacklight, etc. There are no cookies, trackers, logs or other profiling crap in Startpage. Anyway there are a lot of other search engines out there which you can use, Whoogle, Andisearch, AstianGo (default search engine from the Midori browser, a FF fork, but better, FOSS), Mojeek, Qwant, MetaGer, DDG, if you have little children, the 100% family save Swisscows, if you want planting trees or support social projects, use Ecosia or Good search. All of these protect your privacy and don’t log your searches, nor track you. Sponsor ads, or context based, like Startpage has, instead on surveilling or profiling, to create incommings, are not a privacy or security issue, server costs money. If you want to avoid it, you must use a selfhosted solucion or trust a public instance (Whoogle, SearX) or use a search engine which recieve a commision when you buy something online (Andisearch) or similar methodes that do not compromise your data.

To avoid are Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc, which make money with surveillance advertising, logging your search and profiling you to sell your data to advertising companies, this is a risk and lack of privacy, not the other

Austria, Museum of Modern Art in Vienna. I have no information about the substances or medications the architect has taken.

Well, meanwhile in Canada…

A simple command line in AutoGPT can be enough, as proven with ChaosGPT. But I am more afraid of human stupidity than of AI, it is this that is going to destroy us.

It isn’t, the only bad thing of the Netherland are the drivers with caravans on the motorways and roads in the rest of the EU, ah, well, maybe their beer 🤢

Zerush,

Well, maybe, anyway the French beer is way worse. Best beers you find in Czechoslovakia, Germany and also in Spain

Yes, in these years are a lot of pop ups, pop unders among other crap in some pages, but normally in most pages there was, apart of an ocassinal Banner not much else to justify an adblocker. But nowadays, between ads, clickbaits, cookie consent, adblocker detections and ant-adblocker, paywalls and other shit like these, you need a lot of extensions and scripts if you don’t want that the page fills your browser and HD with all kind of PUPs and unwanted scripts, apart of an ad/trackerblocker. It’s a cats and mouse game between companies which want to track and profile you with all kind of dirty tricks, and the user and devs continuos searching contrameasures to show them the middle finger.

Yes, typical screens from these years, from a user who, as a newbie in the Internet, clicked on these beautiful banners and animations that were on certain pages with nice freeware stuff, screensavers, games, funny Powerpoints, etc… Nowadays these things do not appear and you can only notice that the PC goes every time slower and you know that you belong to the big family of the botnet community.
