someguy3,

If you hate vacuuming get a Roomba. Lifesaver.

someguy3,

So how well did it work? I can’t imagine it working well when it’s on land, distances are less, you know the size of humans, speed and heading are not factors, anything else?

I say the cliche which stocks to invest in. They will know which companies are big at various times. Lotto numbers if they can get that. Blah blah blah.

After that I’m not sure I want to know the other things. It takes the fun out of life.

I mean there are things that you have to worry about like personal safety. I I doubt there will be another World War so I won’t have to worry about the draft or death. Maybe major disasters so I won’t be there. Civil unrest but I’m fortunate enough to live in Canada.

Lemmy. The final frontier.

These are the forums of the Lemmy communities.

Its continuing mission to explore strange new posts. To seek out new memes and new discussions.

To boldly go where no social media has gone before.

someguy3,

Start with season 3.

“What do your elf eyes see?” takes on a whole new meaning.

What are some food items that cost less than what they "should"?

Bananas are ridiculously cheap even up here in Canada, and they aren’t grown anywhere near here. Yet a banana can grow, be harvested, be shipped, be stocked, and then be purchased by me for less than it’d cost to mail a letter across town. (Well, if I could buy a single banana maybe…or maybe that’s not the best...

someguy3,

Isn’t there the thing where the cheese needs to age by just sitting there, the farmer needs cash flow, so the cheese is put up as collateral. (But yes there is government cheese too.)

someguy3,

Like everything made in China.

A shirt that costs $8? Board game that costs $20?

someguy3,

Mickey and Minnie without gloves are free. I imagine any depiction with oversized white gloves will be sued.

someguy3,

Description says it plays then in the normal video screen. Don’t see the point, maybe someone can fill me in.

someguy3,

Don’t know why you’re downvoted so much.

Yes there will be vitamins and minerals.

Maybe nutritiondata.org has more info if you want to check.

someguy3,

Um what season of TNG did you start with?

someguy3,

Hospitals usually have their own backup, so not sure the grid cares.

In the old days I heard they put Vaseline on the camera lens to smooth and blur certain glamour shots, mainly woman but combined with really warm lighting I think it’d work here too. Check that and let us know if that’s the effect you’re thinking.

Also try searching “flashback filter”. You have to be more precise with search terms these days

What can the US do to help Mexico finally stop the cartels?

Politicians constantly talk about stopping the illegal immigrants that are coming from Mexico, but putting a wall has never and will never be a solution since the reason why so many displaced keep coming across the border is mostly to escape the crime, corruption, inequality, and violence of they have to live in their home...

someguy3,

Universal healthcare in the US if breaking bad is right.

I haven’t seen that many sedans in years. Therefore I think it’s an old photo.

someguy3, (edited )

Maybe 50 years ago. Don’t think there’s as much holdup now.

The pumps for the natural gas grid won’t be powered though. Now the question is if those have what I assume would be massive generators along the grid, which I doubt.
