tebro, in I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack?

I was concerned of the amount of users not being enough to generate content, but so far I have been proven wrong. And the quality of the content is much better. At least for now.

mizu6079,
@mizu6079@lemmy.world avatar

Huh?

freeman,

Its an entertaining post and thread

adj16,

They’re ribbing you a little bit for making such a weird post. They were worried that fewer users on Lemmy would mean less interesting and unique posts, but here you are, making the most unusual content most of us have seen all day (or week).

someguy3,

The opposite of a shitpost.

adj16,

😆 nice one

tebro,

That wasn’t actually it 😂 I was replying to some other post and after the fact realized that something has gone weird as I suddenly saw this post title up top. Seems my comment deletion didn't quite take

adj16,

Oh lmao well it ended up being the perfect snarky response to such a wild post so just roll with it I guess!

imaqtpie,
@imaqtpie@sh.itjust.works avatar

Lmao I've seen this happen a few times before and I knew it would end up being hilarious at some point.

Congrats, you just got a lucky little bit of Lemmy history.

codRL,

I read about that happening to someone else earlier.

Your comment is still kinda perfect for this post though, haha!

Wander,
@Wander@yiffit.net avatar

I've actually gotten really good replies over a communities like !selfhosted

RomanRoy,
@RomanRoy@lemmy.world avatar

I mean, it really makes sense that self hosted communities grow strong in Lemmy, since it is self hosted.

That's why I'm pissed at the suckers at homelab

Mugmoor,
@Mugmoor@lemmy.dbzer0.com avatar

Honestly /r/homelab is such a useless sub anyways. It's like /r/guitarpedals. Posts of the new gear people have bought, but have no clue how to use.

HobbitFoot,

This whole set of comments, no shit.

dipbeneaththelasers,

Mission accomplished

atwerp,

no shit

yes, that's the whole point, didn't you read the post?

livus,
@livus@kbin.social avatar

Literally. That is the objective.

carcus, in Who are your favorite creators on Patreon / kofi?

David Hilowitz is my go to for interesting music technology content. It’s engaging, relaxing and they’re always tinkering with something. Each video is just the right length. No clickbait titles. Patrons get free sample libraries. David seems like a genuinely good person as well.

zerozaku, in What is something good happening in your city/town/local area?

Hey man that's something you should ask who would go outside.

zork, in Unconventional Food for a 3-Day Pooping Marathon?"

Dude why

badgerific, in You can have any superpower, but the first person to reply chooses a side effect
@badgerific@kbin.social avatar

Ability to successfully persuade any living being to do what I want them to do.

skillissuer,

it requires days of careful observation of that living being at least to prepare persuasion speech. the speech takes entire day even for simplest tasks and you can't do virtually anything else by sheer intensity required

ivanafterall,
@ivanafterall@kbin.social avatar

Your entire family was murdered in a dark city alley to lead to your powers.

SevFTW,

Damn the last time that happened I only inherited immense wealth and used it to beat up street level criminals

theusualuser,

Don't worry, he'll convince a genius to create a time machine. Problem solved.

Jon-H558,

You are never truly sure again if people are actually listening to you or even like you or they are just enchanted by your power. You are never again able to form meaningful relationships with that doubt in you mind, you can never find true love and become a recluse.

tymon, in I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack?

I have done two seven-day fasts and four three-day fasts. You'll want to prep with fasting practice and then watch your water intake to make sure you're not dehydrated.

I would pay $50 to know why the fuck you're doing this.

Kouran, in I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack?

I was here when this post happened.

Aldo,

History in the making, baby!

Macallan, in "Connect" for Lemmy app - anyone tried it yet?

I’m trying it out and like it so far. It still needs work though. There’s a lag when registering upvotes and downvotes. Seems stable and I don’t get as many error messages as Jeroba. Comments and content seems to load faster than Jeroba.

OmegaZX, in I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack?

Lemmy is good just because of this post

Tarkcanis, in I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack?

The only real answer is Pemmican.

evilsmurf,

Humane pemmican?

Xylinna, in I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack?
@Xylinna@lemmy.world avatar

I wonder if doing a colon cleanse beforehand help? Similar to what people do before a colonoscopy.

Also, it is an odd request but I’m now fully vested in your post to see what others suggest.

Caboose,

My thoughts as well.

238 g of Miralax mixed into 2 L of flavored sports drink. Drink all of it over the course of 24 hours at least 24 hours before the event.

Then immodium 2 mg twice daily to maintain a poop free existence.

Warning: this WILL work but also runs the risk of damaging your GI tract of maintained for too long.

zelifcam,
@zelifcam@lemmy.world avatar

There you go. Give the kid who doesn’t understand the basics of the human body advice on how to colon cleanse a day before the trip. I’m sure it will turn out just fine.

mentosfreshmaker, in What is your favorite way to spend money?

Nowadays it’s stationery, notebooks and house plants. Gotta green up my home 🏡 😌 And yes I have more notebooks and stickers than I know what to do with…

Dirty_Dan, in I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack?

Can’t say I recommend it but if I were given this unique challenge I suppose I would try MREs. MRE meals are designed to have the nutrients needed for soldiers and not cause repeated bowl movements.

atlasraven31,

I can confirm. The peanut butter will seal up your butthole like super glue. Desert sand helps clog everything up.

Dazed_Confused,
@Dazed_Confused@lemmy.world avatar

And that's one reason why I hate sand...

evilsmurf,

Do they still have the little gum packets that open the pipes back up?

iamhazel, in has anyone tried out lemmynade as a lemmy app?
@iamhazel@beehaw.org avatar

Thanks for sharing! I like it so far, though I logged in but it was still saying I need to login before upvoting and commenting

SolemnAttic,

Im upvoted and replied to you from the app, so it does work. And it is looking real nice

BeeBitMyBottom,

Me too!

BeeBitMyBottom,

I am getting the same thing on certain instances, others, like this one, no issues

HolyFriedFish,

I couldn't upvote or comment until I added a lemmy.world account. Now it seems like I can upvote and comment from my Beehaw account? Definitely strange, but the app is clearly in development, so hopefully that's an issue that gets ironed out quickly.

K3FFIE, in "Connect" for Lemmy app - anyone tried it yet?

I was using Jerboa but swapped it out to being highly unstable. now trying out Connect, the UI feels more familiar to me (used Boost for Reddit), I am sticking with Connect for now I reckon.
