I started playing DC Universe Online again for the first time in a decade+ a few weeks ago. Forgot how much fun creating a super hero is. I’m on PC, which I guess has crossplay with playstation?
Player population is hit and miss. The cities are a tad empty, though there’s almost always other people doing the same mission as you. But if you go to a major hub, like GCPD or Watchtower central hub, tons of players, especially on like a Saturday night. Game’s definitely not dead, and chat is very active.
Character customization via the styles tab is endless, and by default it has transmog so your gear doesn’t have to affect your appearance if you don’t want.
I hear the f2p model gets predatory near end game but i’m not there yet so I can’t confirm. Either way, having fun so far.
Sorting from 1 being the worse and 6 being the best in my opinion these are the shows that I found entertaining and recommend you giving a watch
1 better call saul drama
2 breaking bad drama
3 still game comedy
4 it’s always sunny comedy
5 it crowd comedy
6 father ted comedy
You may find it difficult to understand what the characters are saying in still game due to the cast being entirely Scottish I won’t spoil it for you just give it a watch
Still Game was wonderful! Just get the subs for it. I think it ran nine seasons, but each season is fresh and quite funny. In the end it’ll give you tears because your going to miss them badly.
Still Game is worth your time. Very funny and wholesome show.
Agreed I heavily enjoyed still game although I didn’t like the later seasons as much I felt like they were introducing more characters cuz they were running out of things to write about
It’s been a while since I read about it but IIRC, rescuers arrived just days later and were able to follow their tracks down the mountain to where some of the bodies were eventually found. An avalanche powerful enough to kill the whole party surely would have wiped all this away even if some of it had melted away in the preceding couple of days.
I’m genuinely curious to know where in the world you live. I would be horrified if someone was peeking under the stalls or bothering people by knocking on the doors.
Idk about OP but where I live most public stalls do have indicators but not all of them. Often custom bathrooms for places like restaurants tend to be missing them since they’re to some degree custom designed to match a certain aesthetic and I’m guessing in those cases indicators are easily forgotten or just left out of more niche bathroom stall door designs.
I wouldn’t be surprised if this is also an issue in older bathrooms with older stall designs because I remember indicators being less common when I was a kid. But I usually knock if I’m checking a stall like that and don’t try to look underneath until I’ve tried less invasive measures. Honestly usually you can tell just by looking at the shadows on the floor and seeing if there’s any movement or not, without having to bend over to check for feet.
When I frequented small cafés before the epidemic lockdown, it was typical in San Francisco to get frequent impatient door-knockers.
Part of the problem is the lack of publicly available restroom facilities. Shopping malls often might have two restroom pairs, usually at the food court and by the movie theater, and then one each at thr major department stores, typically hidden by the changing rooms.
I cannot say how this compares to other towns or other nations, but designing public lots in The Sims 2, I quickly learned to make sure there were facilities a short walk from everywhere. (Also skip the sinks and install showers, since sims dress and undress with a quick spin)
I don’t know. The Sims 2 was the last of the series by Maxis rather than by the eldritch maw of post-Origin EA lurking in the chaos void
There may have been placeable bidets that weren’t useable. That said, it wouldn’t be too difficult to mod one together so that a sim sits down on it (as per toilet objects) and it increases hygiene.
I did like that divicrats (floor threshold dividers) were regarded as room separators for matters of privacy and environment wheb I wanted a relaxed household where everyone poops and dresses in the open.
Crazy that no one has recommended Costco’s in-house Bourbon. It’s very hard to get unless you know when it’s in stock, because it sells out in like a week, but at some places (DC for example) you don’t even need a membership to buy liquor. It’s a REALLY good Bourbon for the price. It’s a little stronger and sweeter than many bourbons in my estimation, without much bite.
My buddy is a huge Bourbon snob, we did the trail for his bachelor party, and he had a few bourbon bars set up at his wedding. It was one of the five he chose to have at his wedding, and the decision was not made on cost. He’s the one that introduced me to it, and it’s basically all I buy now, unless I’m getting something cheap for bourbon and gingers or some other mixed drink.
When I asked my parents they said "We did it in case you wanted to marry a Jewish girl." It didn't make any sense at that time either, but since I don't have any problems with it and have never known my penis any other way, I don't really mind.
Honestly – and I before I say this, Free Palestine – if you want to be a person who tears down a poster looking for a missing person, I think you should be prepared to live your life as a someone who everyone knows tears down posters of missing persons.
I think people have a right to privacy in the ways that don’t affect other people, but when you do things that affect others – whether that’s not cleaning up after your dog or anonymously harassing whoever hung a poster of a loved one by tearing it down – I don’t feel you’re exercising a right that I have some obligation to defend. Live with the reputation of who you are.
Again, I say this as a critic of the genocide in Gaza. Bibi Netanyahu deserves to be dragged into the Hague to face the International Criminal Court. At the same time, I still hope as many of the Israeli hostages are returned safely as possible, and I have no sympathy for people who are inclined to tear down a missing person poster and want anonymity. That’s not liberating Palestine, that’s just anonymously terrorizing whatever grieving person hung the poster when they discover it’s been torn down.
Right, the point of a missing person sign is to get help finding a person. You put them up in places where the victim is likely to be so the people who see the sign can identify them.
Honestly – and I before I say this, Free Palestine – if you want to be a person who tears down a poster looking for a missing person, I think you should be prepared to live your life as a someone who everyone knows tears down posters of missing persons.
I find it interesting that you felt the need to explicitly say you support Palestine, even though your opinion isn’t really controversial IMO.
This is not the first time I noticed this about a comment, it almost feels like people are afraid of being ostracized by “their side” for having a slightly “wrong” opinion about this conflict.
I wanted to propose it too, but it can get a bit dark from time to time too. It’s been a great show though. Very funny and all the characters are adorable.
