I’ve watched them so much, that when I started to learn english I just started to watch that movie in english, since i knew by hart half of what they were saying
I was worried when this wasn’t anywhere near the top. These aren’t even my favourite time travel movies, they’re my favourite movies, period, and have been since I was 4.
Its very good. Its a low budget indie film. Its about two unremarkable engineers who work on toy projects in their garage accidentally discovering a type of time travel similar to the movie Looper. The film follows the realization, experimentation and ultimately the downfall of the engineers due to the power of their own discovery.
Primer is famous for being extremely complex and hard to follow. The characters speak in real engineering jargon, and there’s constant time travel paradoxes happening in the background which you don’t pick up on without multiple viewings.
If you like being intellectually challenged, its great.
Should also be mentioned that the director is a massive POS, which is why I don’t promote the movie even though I like it.
Thank you, director been POS never stopped me from watching or liking the movie/show. I don’t even care for most ratings or reviews. There were many times when rating or review was bad but i loved watching it.
Sometimes I wonder if horrible people can be great storytellers because their outlook on life is so different from our own. That doesn’t excuse or justify their behavior, but still, I wonder.
From 2011 to 2018, Carruth was in a relationship with Amy Seimetz. The couple became engaged in 2013. Seimetz obtained temporary restraining orders against Carruth in 2018 and 2020 and a permanent restraining order in 2020, citing years of domestic and emotional abuse and harassment. Carruth has denied these allegations.
On January 13, 2022, Carruth was arrested at the home of another ex-girlfriend on allegations of domestic assault and vandalism. He was released four days later on a $50,000 bond.
Yes. But I did happen to stumble across its Denizen line about a year ago when I was in the US and in a Target. I really liked them, so upon another visit this summer I bought three additional (identical) ones, as I’ve not seen them here in europe.
I am the least fashionable person in existence, and I 100% prefer function over form. And the Denizen is by far the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever owned.
I am confused. I thought the OP was asking about pants, as in underpants and people are suggesting jeans. Is this just a misunderstanding or are there actually jeans underpants ?
I am aware of the dialect difference… was just wondering if there really is such a thing as underpants made of jeans material … that sounds comfy to wear at home.
Definitely a fan of Levi’s, especially the high-waisted models. I intensely dislike the feeling of my pants being about to fall off, so low-waisted is out. The 516 is my favourite, although I also have 541s, 501s, 505s, and 550s.
I have given it a 2nd-3rd-4th go, each time with a new friend who hasn’t yet seen it. And, no joke, I still pick up on a TON of details I’ve missed before. It’s just… so good
I’ve only seen it with subs. I have read on an old thread that the dubs are pretty good, but I haven’t given them a shot. Maybe I will try on my 5th watch!
I get a few takeaways from this, one of these being that progress, people foresee (or think they foresee), will turn out to be a merely forward thing, where we can only get better at inventing, which means better tech, which means the ability to improve how we destroy, and another being that nation states, themselves having been a can of worms on their own when tribes contemplated no longer being tribes, will be targeting other nation-states, but that tribes, being nomadic and not as technologically in-tune, would have less incentive to be struck down by a nuke, as would city-states to a lesser degree due to the second thing and/or the fact that everyone existing in the form of city-states might make people more careful.
Look for raw denim! The real stuff- it’ll feel thicker at first and will take breaking in. You’ll be paying 100+ most likely, but they’ll last you a lifetime. Brands are really dependent on the style/cut of jeans you’re looking for. Not up to date on brands anymore since I haven’t had to buy a new pair in over ten years. My favorite brand was/is Rogue Territory, but I’m not sure if they are available in the EU.
It kind of comes down to the overall craftsmanship of the jeans. I started paying more attention to the seams, stitching, and where things lined up on my body. I had good luck purchasing from smaller brands which appeared to value the ‘legacy’ of denim- not something I really think about, but I was happy they did.
