I used to remove them from customers homes. It was a very similar story each time. They loved it for a little while then it sat for 5 plus years used as a big outdoor table to hold other stuff on top the cover. It also is a bit pricey and a hassle to get rid of them. Most of the time I would have to cut it into 4 pieces to move the thing. I think they are a bit of a waste for most people. Mosquitos love them though.
It does a way better job at most frozen food and leftovers than a microwave does, but takes longer.
Almost anything you'd deep fry can be lightly spritzed with oil and done in an air fryer instead.
If it's big enough for a pizza, you can make one from scratch instead of frozen. It's cheaper than anything but the cheapest frozen crap and a lot better.
It’s literally just words. If it’s all someone uses, sure, it can be unimaginative and dull. But the implication in your blanket statement often then extends to the person which I would say is then wrong.
RHCP has a lot of great cruising songs too. Some great ones by Stone Temple Pilots as well. Really, I’ve got cruising playlists, but if I have to choose just one track, it’s definitely I Am The Highway.
If you’re going to get one, highly recommend getting 240V instead of 110v/plug and play type. 240V are the only ones that can really keep up with the heat and give you that real jet feel in the tub.
If possible, keep it somewhere covered. We have it in our covered patio, which allows us to get use of it in any kind of weather and prevents mosquitos/other bugs coming around.
Chemical balancing can be pretty tough, we mostly keep a steady supply of bleach around to make sure it’s staying clean. One issue we had was the test strips never seemed to say the water was hard enough so we kept adding calcium hardner, but it ended up precipitating and making a rough coating on the seats (eventually we were able to clean it off). Ended up deciding it wasn’t a big deal if some values are out of range on the test strips as long as the stuff to keep people safe is balanced (ie chlorine)
I have not eaten solid food since August (I live on Ensure and Gatorade) and dry heaved every morning. The latter is in the past because, after months of trying to figure out what is causing this, I had my gallbladder out last Thursday and the heaving has stopped. But I still can’t eat and almost any food smell really disgusts me.
I mean the presents were nice, but between the surgery pain, the itching from where they shaved my entire stomach, the lack of eating, the not wanting to smell any Christmas food, and the general lack of energy… it wasn’t a good Christmas.
Are you at least eating now? I had another 6-week bout of not eating earlier this year. This surgery was my last step before going to the Mayo Clinic, which will cost a huge amount of money (I’ll have to do a GoFundMe), so I really don’t want to have to do that.
My dad spent, I believe, 3-4 years where every single meal he would gagging on the food and end up throwing up. Initially, they thought it was from the severe and chronic throat infection he had and because of our health care system it took them that many years to get his tonsils removed and at least rectify the infection issue. That didn’t solve the problem though, and eventually it turned out there was damage to a nerve in his throat that was causing it and he needed another surgery to fix that.
Watched him go through hell all those years, so I definitely feel for you and hope you get this resolved!
My kids are working on it. We bought a vr headset… One headset. They have to take turns. We aren’t rich and can’t afford one for each of them. They’re fighting each other and us over the turns. It’s clearly established whose turn it is and how long turns are. They are still bitching about it. It’s about to get returned.
I dropped Reddit because I was feeling like it was being heavily astroturfed (always has been, I know, but I think lately it’s been way worse) and also because fuck spez (for several reasons)
