I’d just give you a regular ass large fry if you ordered that.
If you ask for extra lettuce and get a second leaf for free most places won’t bat an eye. But there’s usually a way things are portioned the way they are. Nobody wants a burger that’s one 1/8th pound patty and 3 inches worth of solid lettuce.
There used to be a subway or Quiznos commercial that went something like, “'Cause nobody wants a salad on a bun.” I would see it and think, “Me. I do. I want a salad on a bun.” WTH’s wrong with a burger that’s one 1/8th pound patty and 3 inches worth of solid lettuce?
If you are taking an existing publication and just tweaking details (e.g.: character names, locations, dialogue), that’s not fanfic at all; at best that’s an adaptation. If you’re creating a parody (and provide proper citations/attributions to the originating work) it may be fair use. More likely, it’s still considered plagiarism if you can still recognisably see the concepts, structure and inspiration but do not have the author’s permission.
There is no exact percentage for plagiarism, and that is by design in most countries’ legal systems. It is about concepts and ideas, and whether a “reasonable person” could make the connection.
Proper fanfic is where you take existing characters and locations, but put them into an entirely new story / scene / context that never happened in the original work, so is considered “original” in that sense.
When I’m on then I shower once a day. I use femfresh to wash and then towel dry.
Why would I need anything else in between? Most disposable products need changing every 4hrs but that doesn’t mean throughly cleaning between uses. Reusables vary but again nothing needs deep cleaning under than 12hrs.
I am hung up about weight like this. Spent so long on the far side of skinny that smack in the middle of healthy makes me feel I look fat. I do say I am fat, I know objectively that is not true but I miss being too skinny. Just venting really.
I think just say that she is built great now, and you like it, but it’s her body. She probably isn’t worried that YOU think she’s fat. She is bothered because SHE thinks she’s fat.
Eggs, sausage, grilled cheese, fries, hash browns (pretty much every type of potatoes except baked or mashed), cheeseburgers, baked beans, hot dogs, corn dogs.
There’s more I just can’t think of them atm.
I fuckin love ketchup and will die on the ketchup hill
FM receiver on phones + 3.5mn jack was a crucial source of local radio transmissions. I suspect some phones still ship radio receivers but the popular types like Samsungs and iPhones don’t seem to care (or perhaps that competes with their music and podcast markets).
Here in Italy since 2020 it’s not legal to sell a device that has an FM receiver if that device doesn’t also have a DAB/DAB+ receiver, so many companies have been shipping software updates that disabled the FM receiver app even if they were compliant on older phones. Kinda sucks.
That sucks! As long as a device can decode the signals, I don’t see why they should phase it out just to be compatible with DAB+ (especially when infrastructural costs are not a major factor).
I don’t have to worry about it now, but when I had my period (and I strictly used pads) I would use a peri-bottle full of warm water. My period having teen uses refresher wipes.
When was the last time you saw a dedicated front facing flash? I think most of the time these days it’s a quick increase and brightness and your screen turning white.
it’s a small led that flashes if there’s a notification, you could customize it for only certain notifications or even different colors. it’s pretty much been replaced by AOD.
If they are 12 hour shifts, so that the people can head home at 5 with everyone else. If they are 8 hour shifts, usually for the later shifts to have an okay life balance: 5-2 for day shift, 2-11 for second shift, and a third shift option that overlaps.
Even though I’m a night person, 5 is a common time to wake up for enough people who presumably want to be productive, and the benefit of getting off work before the school day ends has to be enticing. And on the second shift side of things, they get to have lunch with loved ones before going to work, and 11 is early enough that they could potentially go out for drinks or other fun before bed.
It’s also nice that for either shift, the person has time to run errands at a time when most stores are open and activity levels are low.
The machines would wear out faster with more usage, so using them longer each day wouldn’t help with that, but doing two shifts per day would increase productivity per machine than one shift per day. Which would also help pay off any loans for the machinery faster.
This is why routine Preventative Maintenance is important. My job strives for World Class Manufacturing, so I hear all the manufacturing buzzwords all day everyday.
I’m with you. Ketchup on a sandwich is a no-go (to most people), but the other two belong. A hot dog could use ketchup and mustard, but not mayonnaise. And a burger could use all 3
Depends on how things were inventoried, expensive things like meat were down to like the individual patties.
But fries were eyeballed bag/half bag type thing, so if you were nice about it or cute I would take one of our smallest to-go bags and LOAD it with fries lmfao
