How does Lemmy deal with deletion requests for banned accounts? There does not appear to be any built in functionality to make this possible which makes compliance with the law more difficult.

The instance I’m on just did the update and this comment highlighting is really throwing me off. It’s super glaring and unpleasant imo and I’d really appreciate the ability to turn it off. I’ve looked around a bit but haven’t found anything myself. Am I missing something?

I have “show read posts” unchecked, so I shouldn’t see them. I can still see them. I didn’t see them yesterday, when lemm.ee was 0.18. I do see them today after 0.19 update. I’ve toggled it on, saved, then off, saved. Still seeing read posts.

I was under the impression that there was no backend support for cross-posts in Lemmy – I thought that the “proper” way to cross-post was to click the cross post button...

My Lemmy instance has reached 100% storage so I can no longer use it. Is there a safe way I can clear cache or make some more space available without upgrading the disk space? If there a way to filter other languages or something? It’s good they’re there, but seeing posts from communities that communicate entirely in a language I don’t read is basically useless and in tired of filtering eight communities per day only to make little to no difference.

Hello, just upgraded to 0.19.1 and I’m surfing around the lemmyverse and it seems I have mod rights like everywhere....

Whenever I reload lemmy I can see in the statusbar that it loads many megabytes of data. For mostly text. Why is that?

In some posts, I see some comments are highlighted in yellow for no obvious reason that I can figure out. Example post here...

I am quite annoyed by one person’s posts in one community I’m subscribed to. I could block them but then I might miss their comments or posts in other communities which might not be as annoying....

There are two dead lemmy.ml communities I would like to request. What would be the process in gaining control of the communities? I do have a lemmy.ml account that I occassionally log into if that helps.
