Will be sad to see him go. I always loved the content as it was engaging, but ultimately of no consequence. When I watch anything to do with news or politics theres the risk of believing what the channel says only for it to be wrong and having your whole world view questioned. Game Theory was just… fun.
If you have a cavity that you can’t afford to deal with go get some clove oil ( yes, I know how people feel about essential oils and I usually agree- but this is legit) and cotton swabs. Soak the swab in the oil to excess and then put the swab in the cavity and squeeze the excess oil into the cavity. This is going to taste like you ate a thousand pounds of cinnamon and your mouth might water- a lot, but clove oil is a dentist approved antiseptic. You have to be careful, it can burn your face skin if you get it anywhere unintended.
I have been slowly losing my teeth over the past decade and am too broke to fix it, so I had to rely on clove oil between being able to afford extractions. It helped a lot. If the oil doesn’t work then the infection is too far gone and you need good antibiotics. They wouldn’t even be able to extract a tooth that bad.
I know… There are 10 dental schools in Canada, the odds of getting in to one to have any work done are almost literally like winning the lottery. I’m sure it’s not much better in the U.S. plus you have to be lucky enough to live near one. The nearest major city to me is 8 hours away. And typically you have to fit within an income threshold, which we don’t as we are a two income household with benefit, albeit benefits that are quite limited.
One advantage of linking a YouTube video in an aggregator setting is if the video goes viral, everyone is spamming Google’s server for delivery instead of hammering smaller services. Video is pretty expensive, so for now I see no issue abusing YouTube (assuming everyone here is already ad-blocking & DNS sinking anyhow).
Peertube uses the torrent protocol to distribute the load among active viewers.
I found a $15/mo server with unlimited (10Gbps) bandwidth for my personal instance. It would only become expensive if were to open it up for public registrations and use a lot of cloud storage space. Anything I upload can theoretically be viewed a billion times at no extra cost.
That’s still a lot of monthly money for a lot of folks which hurts accessibility for many, not all. The fact that we can’t agree on codecs throws yet another wrench in things as you need multiple resolutions & formats. I’m happy it exists tho & uses distributed serving.
In my case, I was already paying for this VPS to host other services, so the cost of adding peertube was essentially nothing. The server has enough storage and bandwidth to support dozens of users and hundreds videos, so the cost per person would be pretty low.
There’s a cost to doing the (re)encoding & storing multiple version of video. It’s relatively not more data to send one codec versus another, but storage & processing aren’t free either (especially with AV1 requiring hardware encoding unless you want to grind forever on a file).
Happened to me today. Turns out MIUI optimized the Clock app.
I allowed it to autostart, I disabled battery optimization, I locked it in recent apps.
It may still occur.
But hey, I only woke up 30 minutes later. “Something isn’t right.”
I loved how my xiaomi went EOL after a major update that broke receiving calls, also the battery saver thing.
Never buying anything off them again, especially after GDPR notifications on everything, like why the fuck do you need this data (I know. Xi Jinping wants to know the good furry fetish porn)
Sounds like my Moto G5s Plus. I updated it to Android 8.1 and it started having issues like lagging, completely freezing up, randomly restarting, battery drain, overheating, etc.
Oh, well. It ran PixelExperience 11 just fine. It also allowed me to use the notification LED that Motorola disabled in software for reasons unknown.
Edit: I just like this part from bootloader unlock license agreement on what doing so may cause:
Cause the Device to overheat, explode and/or catch fire, exceed SAR values, exceed safe volume settings, and otherwise be unsafe, including creating the potential to cause serious bodily injury, including death
A32 5G costs anything from $150 to $300. Trust me, I know what it means to be on a budget - I’ve never owned a phone that costed over $250. However, at that price I’d much rather get something like OnePlus 6 - an old phone with amazing community support (in fact, the new OnePlus 6 I bought from China costed $150) and specs that frankly are probably going to be better than newly released “budget” phones.
They aren’t readily available here either, so I’m ordering it online. Unless you want to tell me you have less online purchase options than people in Russia.
I’ve read your comment history and you said you live around Balkans, fwiw back when I was in Montenegro in 2017 I ordered Zuk Z2 from Aliexpress, it stays well supported to this day, you should be able to do something similar.
Unfortunately not all features are always available on those ROMs.
One example is GrapheneOS and Google Wallet which I cannot use due to GrapheneOS not being considered “certified software” by the app and therefore not being trusted.
spoof safety net or sth
there are ways to get gpay to work. also you may have more luck with lineageos and full system install of official, proprietary google services instead of graphene (but of course you’ll be sacrificing your privacy)
