I don’t wanna say that from the looks of her she hasn’t gotten over her own trauma, so I won’t. It would be in bad taste.

drislands,

I admire your restraint.

I get the point of the meme, but can I just say I hate routers that give you a default password other than admin or password. Like I get the point of it is to prevent the device from being insecure when the user doesn’t put a password on it. However after a while the back of the router becomes basically unreadable and when you go online and search default admin password for x and their support page says that the password is different per router it’s a little ridiculous. It is a much better approach to just force the password to be changed when you do the initial setup that way you can forget the admin password and factory reset it and still be able to access it where with current day routers if you reset it and you don’t have that little piece of plastic on the back that says the admin password you’re more or less SOL

nikosan,

Where do you keep your router? Lol my oldest router is still clearly legible

Pika,

Mines behind our printer, it gets covered in dust and the adhesive on the sticker is starting to fail lol, thankfully it’s not one that does that though so I’m not too worried.

juli,

I’m going to ask you next time I want to post something, alright?

Darkenfolk,

Haha cute, but you will have to hand in a 300 words paper detailing your posts and they need to be written in times new roman, size twelve and to be handed in two days before posting.

flames5123, in Gotta stay grounded.

Please stop saying gravity when you mean G forces. There is nowhere in our known universe where gravity isn’t a factor. The reason you can experience 0 G forces in orbit is BECAUSE of gravity. You’re free falling to earth constantly because it’s pulling you in.

0G’s is what you need want to say. Also microgravity is appropriate because it’s “low apparent gravitational forces.”

Gingernate,

You’re fun at parties

flames5123,

I am! Being a nerd is fun.

tdawg, (edited )

It’s honestly disrespectful to assume people don’t already understand this. And that they aren’t simply using a commonly understood shorthand to convey a simple idea. It’s not a failure of their intelligence but rather of your ability to give people the grace they need to communicate an idea

flames5123,

I didn’t degrade intelligence, just asking if we can stop using because it doesn’t help others who aren’t in the science space. I’m saying this in an open forum. Many people that say it do not understand this. They think that gravity is just absent. I was giving some context to help others.

Hope this helps others! :)

North Korea has a subway system?

rbhfd,

Do you see a subway on that picture?

You can’t have failing infrastructure if you don’t have infrastructure 👨🏾‍⚕️

OurToothbrush,

How would it be physically possible to see a whole subway from that one photo

Ngl this is lazy orientalism. You can easily look up whether Pyongyang has a subway system and find photos taken by Westerners of their subway system

In all of Vietnam there are currently two active metro lines, one of which is only partially complete.

I hope it improves. Many lines are under construction but all of the projects have been plagued by delays for years.

But why would you include this as an example here?

MolochAlter,

Because OP is a propagandist shill.

OurToothbrush,

Tbf Vietnam has a hard time building lines given all the unexploded ordinance that the US left

Where the terms left and right wing came from is during the French Revolution there was a assembly and it was spit to two sides. The right side was for the old system and the left was for the revolution. Your argument sounds like a even more dumbed down version of the right wing politics being the right hand of God and that shit. You said to read a book and I have a great book.

Moscow’s is nice too (and we know whom to thank for that).

sooper_dooper_roofer,

why do actual communist planned economy nations have such great train stations (and aesthetics in general)

7bicycles,

Car infrastructure is just, and I do mean this seriously, unimaginably expensive. If you do not priotize the car you have such a shitton of money left over you can just put like, chandeliers in your metro stations.

sooper_dooper_roofer,

was the USSR very low on car infrastructure? I honestly don’t know so I’m asking (I know they had great train stations too)

7bicycles,

Late stage, no, not so much, earlier stages? Yeah, absolutely, especially compared to like the west

missphant, (edited ) in Recursive authentication

Microsoft will just refuse to let me log with a third-party TOTP after setting it up. Security key is also “not supported” on Firefox even though it works for every other site.

The most info they will get is my Minecraft account and that’s already too much…

qaz,

I set it up with Bitwarden after a reset, but it showed a popup telling me to switch to MS Auth every time until one day there was no way to refuse the switch anymore.

cyberpunk007,

It’s a configurable setting on the admin side. I managed a lot of m365 tenants.

CoopaLoopa,

^ Your M365 admin needs to know where to manage the specific authentication methods and be sure to disable MS auth rollouts. By default right now, authentication rollouts are enabled on all tenants with P1 licensing or above, and it only supports the MS Authenticator app.

Once that rollout is disabled, the authentication methods your admin has made available to you will actually work properly.
