I have a weak back already… is it advisable to start lifting heavy things still? Last time i did i felt like my back got worse. Poor technique perhaps?
Start with a bar, get your form down. Add weights very slowly (like you should be getting frustrated by how little weight you’re lifting). Keep adding making sure form stays perfect. If back starts hurting drop down in weight, and start doing back and core and glute strengthening exercises. Continue.
People default to thinking about big heavy deadlifts, but it really doesn’t need to be. The muscle activation, posture, etc from light deadlifts is really good. It strengthens your back. (Talk to your doctor blah blah blah.)
Only if it’s small enough to palm and move to a pocket as you turn a corner. And also only of it’s not at your normal location. Don’t shit where you eat
What’s your favorite vinyl? Mine is the pre-broadway print of Hadestown. I got it for my wife as an anniversary gift and I wonder how much it may be worth.
I’ve just started listening to Hadestown and I’m only in the opening track, and I already love you for making me aware of it! I’m pretty sure I’m gonna be over my depression (one day) LOL
Joking about it means you at least acknowledge it which means something for depression. And yeah it’s a really fun album and you can probably tell how the show ended up winning a ton of Tony’s. I still need to see the live performance.
Yet capitalism is ingrained enough for you to think that’s the best option, instead of what you need / want it’s whatever that makes you the most money. So it’s a win for capitalism in the sense that you are the capitalist first, and human second.
What will always get you is doing something unusual. When working, always have a safe procedure for moving and be very careful when doing things a different way. When at home or at leisure, don't go beyond the limits of what you're used to doing without planning and prep. And know those limits! I've pulled my back a few times before and I wasn't doing anything more than usual, but I was doing it differently, and it got me.
You can like it, but the hard truth is that cats were never domesticated. They can leave anytime they want and would be fine. Humans would never be the same, though…
This only works for outdoor cats and in areas with plenty of prey. Most indoor cats don’t do well if left on their own and outdoor cats often struggle too.
I think that’s because the narrow scientific term domestication is used in casual speach with a shifted meaning. And that’s because we don’t have any other expression for animals that you can be friends with that would sound as cool as domesticated (taming is too tame).
Edit: Sorry, got lost in the threads. I’ll leave it here because it is still kind of on topic. I guess I should also add that domestication is a process and the line where an animal is considered domesticated is arbitrary.
