When I searched duck duck go image search for Fruit of the Loom, the cached image for their official website includes the cornucopia. When you click into it though it’s not there. WHAT ARE THEY HIDING!
There would be SUCH a revolt from authors if publishers tried to do something to legislate libraries away that I doubt any new books would be released for decades.
Who’s talking about imprisonment? I’m talking about another writer’s strike, leaving publishers with nothing to publish for months or years. With their margins already razor-thin, they have to know that they’d just be done if they tried any funny business.
Also so that phones require more frequent replacement. Usually the battery goes first. It doesn’t hold a charge or undervolts and slows down the phone. They want you to buy a new phone every two years.
This is how I felt until I played Valheim and BG3. I think my preferred genres have just shifted. I need something I can relax and play at my own pace. I use to only play competitive shooters, where I needed to be “on” the whole game. Now I can only play a shooter for about an hour before my mind starts to drift and I lose interest.
When I was in school…I’m pretty sure the state history cirriculum was designed to be America centric, and pro-America. Any nation a boomer would remember being at war with? Not in the history books, or they appear out of nowhere, do something pro-America, and then disappear again, like Russia did from 1939 to 1945. And both World and US history classes end at 1950 because 1. to the limp dicks that actually make the policy, “The fifties are practically now” and 2. we haven’t done much “being the good guys” since the jitterbug fell out of fashion.
So I’m not used to seeing something in a history textbook that isn’t from at least two of my lifetimes ago.
We homeschool our kids, and are religious, but we are heavily opposed to Christian nationalism, and want our kids to learn what actually happened, not some whitewashed curriculum that downplays anyone particular people’s ideological downfalls.
We found a curriculum, but it took a while. One of the first ones I opened to read through had a first chapter titled “God’s gift to the world through America” noped right out of that one…
