This is kind of true. The liturgical day begins on sundown. So Christmas Day is technically after sundown on the 24th to the sundown of the 25th. Most of the day is spent on the 25th, in the christian calendar it’s all on the 25th and the confusion only arises as the calendars clash.
If you aren’t rushing from store to store in a last minute panic induced mixture of rage and disappointment in yourself for letting it come to this, is it even Christmas?
I found out because I was talking to my partner earlier “I don’t have work on Friday I’m not sure about Monday though I’ll need to check” “Monday is christmas I doubt you have work” “oh…”
