All the McD*nalds in my area have been upgraded with order kiosks. Regardless of all the controversy around self-checkout, and minimum wage, and automation taking our jobs, I personally love them. I can take my sweet time composing my order, I can see the full selection (such as it is), I can see pictures and prices clearly...

Dehydrated onions are the onions they use (at least in the US) for like cheeseburgers, hamburgers, and Big Macs.

It really depends what you’re regularly ordering, how busy it is, what modifications you made, and location.

Like say, you wanted a quarter pounder but you wanted the dehydrated onions instead of slivered. Good chance that gets messed up. Ketchup no mustard (or vice versa), also a good chance it gets messed up (due to muscle memory).

Well, Ubuntu was one. Before that it was Fedora many years ago.

Video games for one. Hated the UI (only thing I’ve ever hated worse was the BS Windows pulled with 8, which I skipped). The GUI experience just felt… Like a very distant after thought. Only reason I use Linux at all is on servers (homelab) because… Well the cost is spot on and once I get it working I don’t have to deal with it anymore.

I worked with a married couple many years back. Then they had a kid. So they split their shifts since daycare costs to damn much for 2 Perkins cooks. So they very little of each other. So they went to an open relationship model because “needs”. One of the male managers known for hitting in and fucking all waitresses (because he controlled their schedule…) took the opportunity to start plowing her too. The husband… Thought he had game and thought he could get someone at work. He couldn’t. So that had to be a fun dynamic. The husband and wife’s manager working side by side with both of them and the manager was having a baby with one of his other conquests that also work there. Their marriage quickly fell apart and people’s opinion of her and the manager and the husband took a leap off a cliff. Before all of that they were a very happy couple and great friends to be with. Afterwards they were all insufferable and the child pays for all this.

Knew another couple, married, with for kids. They moved to a open relationship model… Probably for plethora of reasons, Part of me believes that she misses her early twenties party girl that she used to be. Turns out being in mid-30s and having four kids and being married really limits the type of guys that you get. Her former husband moved on with life. And she now has a fifth kid with someone that was a temp boyfriend.

You really have to! Spider-Man wasn’t born Spider-Man, he became Spider-Man one day. You can’t know what/when will trigger your ability to use the force. So constant testing is required.

Small tangent, that’s the excuse I also use every time I’m drinking something and it goes down the wrong tube “Nope, still not Aquaman”.

Be honest, do you still use reddit?

I used to check the front page at least once every day, and occassionally check specific subreddits. Now I don’t look at reddit unless theres some drama, like mods getting purged, then I’d go there and enjoy the drama. Occasionally there will be questions that only reddit has the answer to so I have to reluctantly use it. I...
