Revan343, (edited )

I’m a fan of refurbished ThinkPads myself, but that is mostly for money reasons. If I had money to blow, I would probably also buy a Framework

Revan343,

There’s nothing to do in Nebraska except drink and maintain Linux drivers

Does AI-generated art posted on lemmy bother you?

I find that i can spot AI Images fairly easily these days, especially the sort of fantastical tableaus that get posted to the various AI communities around lemmy. I’m tired of seeing them; it all looks the same to me. Was wondering if im being too sensitive, or if other people are similarly bored of the constant unimaginative...

Revan343,

I’ve seen a lot of really cool AI art and a lot of shitty AI art. I don’t mind it as long as it is labelled as AI art

Revan343,

That seems like the most likely thing to me too

Revan343,

Not the worst geoengineering idea.

Not a good idea, but I’ve heard worse

Revan343,

How many Germans does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

One. They are efficient and not very funny.

Revan343,

The Message is a pretty good modern translation

Revan343,

Big expensive wedding bad

(But pointless RAM truck also bad)

Revan343,

Most trucks are for looks, and don’t actually get used for anything heavy-duty, and RAMs in particular are garbage

Revan343,

The conclusion that most trucks are pointless, or the conclusion that RAMs are garbage?

The former by living in a place where pretty trucks are everywhere, and there isn’t a single scratch or dent on most of them (and they’re usually lifted crew cab short box). The latter, personal experience. If you want a truck, get a Toyota or a Chevy

Revan343,

What I’ve gathered here is that you come from someplace weird with truck nuts

True, Alberta

who have definitely rubbed off on you enough that you make sweeping generalizations

Probably also true

I’m pretty sure Chevy is the only manufacturer I didn’t see on the list of auto makers lobbying against right to repair

Huh. Interesting.

Revan343,

Thank you for explaining the whole joke

…I don’t mean that sarcastically, some people needed the explanation

Revan343,

Israel are terrorists, and invaders in the West Bank deserve to be shot

Revan343,

Both the bonus comic and the button are called a ‘votey’

Revan343,

Burger with taco seasoning + rice is cheap and delicious

Revan343,

There’s another magnet on the back of the car, my guess is they’re holding another one just out of frame and using it to push the car
