My second to youngest brother is technically illiterate. Meanwhile my eldest brother is very technically literate and both are completely different generation (younger than boomer) but of the conservative mindset .

my youngest brother is technically literate and liberal. He’s of the same generation as the illiterate brother.

A does not equal B. These kind of fallacy arguments of ‘how generations be’ really need to stop.

That’s about as logical and as loaded as an assumption as being fickle. It could also mean the person isn’t qualified and other employers figured that out. But again these are assumptions. In their shoes they are right to be wary and probably have some experiences backing up that caution.

If that’s why you’re problem solving then your urge Problem solving is for you and about you . Not for them. If you’re making room for someone in your life that means letting things also be about them.

Sometimes it is about them finding their voice. And at times it’s about letting them learn. It can be empowering for them to grow.

You might offer help when asked or when you know someone definitely is incapable. But let others have their space and their journey too especially if you know they are capable.

Problem solving is sometimes a problem in and of itself especially in situations of where it’s enabling or stifling others or stopping you from connecting to them.

Not true. There’s air conduction, bone conduction(which is the same technology for people who actually do experience hearing loss), wired, non wired, in ear, over ear, on ear, noise cancelling and these are not that expensive that you can get it online so it’s super accessible.

It’s not the early 2000s anymore where you only get buds or on ear or whatever apple bullshit comes with your phone.

My PC is hacked

I just received a call from an indian microsoft technician. He informed me that my PC is sending a ton of error messages to microsoft. Most likely it has been hacked, and he would help me by remoting in and fixing the problem for me. I just wonder… Is it my PopOs or my Manjaro PC that sends all this info to microsoft?

As much as a person could find a reason to feel sorry for them they unnecessarily verbally abuse people they are scamming and that was a choice they made. Their hands are not clean from playing a villain.

Tbf knives will not stay sharp if you dishwash them. You just have to sharpen them more often if you do. So you’re either lazy not to hand wash them OR lazy not to sharpen them as much. Has nothing to do with how they are manufactured. Knives just don’t stay sharp in machine washing as the heat dulls it.

After reading the article it looks like they aren’t being prude. They just wanted to see more healthier relationship spectrums. I think that’s a fair call. Not all story points have to be about sex.

Plus representation matters.

There are asexuals. And many other sexuality types in the world. Violence is not making a point on that so I don’t know where you’re going with that.

There is also echoing healthier relationships between men and women. I’ve known far too many people who cry friendzone and watch complete shit like friends and HIMYM and the various sitcoms that echo very dehumanizing, simplistic, unhealthy relationships between men and women where they stubbornly won’t relate to each other and sexuality is used as a tolerance or payoff of each other’s existence.

So whiile we could debate gratuitous violence has an impact, I think bad relationships and how they have been presented as a template has had a different impact they are trying to discuss.

I’m also a meat eater but have to disagree with you there. I prefer variety because eating the same salty slop gets boring. Maybe you have abused your tastebuds . If you take a break from certain foods it recalibrates the taste buds.

Seriously though I’m amazed at how many people don’t understand basic cooking and how easy and necessary it is to take interest in self health and basic nourishment. But then get shocked when their organs start to shut down before 50. Like “omg they are trying to kill us all with salt and sugar in fast food” shouldn’t be a shock anymore. It’s capitalism. That’s how it works. They don’t care about your body.
