It’s nice to meet all you. I am she/her, can speak Toki Pona and English (non-natively), and locatable on Reddit as MozartWasARed. The links at discord.gg/sEuSSDz6TQ and deviantart.com/…/My-copyright-policy-and-the-impa… are pertinent to me.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

Having something to laugh about right before bed helps a lot. Oddly I know this due to being a sufferer of the pseudobulbar effect.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

The ultimate social media site, in my perspective, would probably have the simplicity and functionality of Side 7, the content execution methodology of TV Tropes, the expandability of Discord, the rule enforcement of ProBoards, the fanbase of YouTube, the adaptability of Hypothesis, and the funding of Pogo (classic Pogo, not modern Pogo, and no I don’t mean Pokémon Go).

shinigamiookamiryuu,

The same thing that makes any other type of leader or ruler good. Simply seek to understand the people.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

It addresses the crudeness of the hand that deals some people, rather than assume equal opportunism is automatic.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

I watch Family Feud to jumpstart my thought processes sometimes.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

They’re so far away I probably won’t, sadly.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

We haven’t seen all the upcoming candidates yet, but when in doubt, vote Libertarian.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

Oh… misinterpreted that as just a part of the example, my bad.

You technically could, though there are burrows (the Lemmy term for communities) that are better for it, since this one is more for questions.

Remember that if a burrow doesn’t exist that’s to your liking, you could always make one (and I might join).

shinigamiookamiryuu,

Does that mean I can get tetanus by walking around barefoot outside?

shinigamiookamiryuu,

I cannot speak for the nations of the world, but I would think if someone could help them they would. Every time someone takes over a place, there’s always the issue of cleanup. Notice that, despite being nearby to Russia-controlled Cuba, US-controlled Puerto Rico, and several commonwealth entities, not even the control-loving Russia will jump at the chance.

I have suggested (though only out of it being so dire) that Elon Musk could use his experience as a South African billionaire to help them, though in any other situation I’m aware that might come off as a terrible idea.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

Okay? Yes. Satisfactory? Meh. I know life circumstances have demonstrated they could be better than they are. I’ve lost a few people in life in ways that are particularly difficult to think back on. I go about myself normally but I’d be lying to say I could confirm the parts of my mind I may be neglecting have or will ever see itself as beyond all that.

Put a list of Ursula Le Guin works on a wall and throw a dart at one of them. Don’t know which one you threw a dart at? That’s okay, because absolutely none of them have gotten good adaptations.

The only exception, extremely ironically given I’m saying this, is Tales of Earthsea. The first half is alright but I guess they lost their train of thought during the second act (their words not mine) and it became a Legend of Zelda story. Still not terrible though, I can’t understand why people hate on it when the same people love Ponyo.

What are your experiences with polyamory, first or second hand?

I personally am in a phenomenally stable polyamorous relationship. I’ve been married to my wife for 12 years, and she has had the same boyfriend for about half of that time. It’s a really fulfilling arrangement for all of us in various ways. We’re all genuinely happy and satisfied. I’m kind of casually looking for a...

shinigamiookamiryuu,

Not much. I’m what many might call a relationship anarchist and this can translate into polyamory, especially when QPR’s are a part of the equation (same with my closest friends but in a more meta way), but I’m not in any and never have been. I was offered the chance though because a classmate in middle and high school began aspiring to a polygamist relationship (LGBT relationships were already a thing and I guess my class got ideas) and managed to appeal to a bunch of other classmates. The core classmate of the relationship then had to move though (the family’s mom got a job somewhere else) and that created a weird sense of withdrawal among the participants.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

Regular food items, nothing in particular, though one thing you might notice is I usually skip breakfast. Most of the food are simple items, like raw fruits and vegetables. Not sure how else to describe it.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

Pokémon Colosseum was the best one for me. Followed by Pokémon XD Gale of Darkness, Pokémon Legends Arceus, Pokémon Conquest, Pokémon Go, Pokémon Blue, and this if it ever becomes a thing.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

The word prostitution comes from the word prostate though. Which nobody at my workplace has because we’re all women at the moment.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

The fact that it can be read so many different ways depending on the accent. I have a different accent than those around me, and it’s inevitable to feel expectations violated.

Apparently people also find it funny when I say the word “envelope”. “Hey it’s Leni, say envelope” they might say, maybe with me responding “guys, I’m not a freaking circus seal” like Jango Fett has a secret pet in denial.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

I think you mean 180. 360 would be a full rotation, you’d be going from the dark side to the light side back to the dark side. But yes, it’s possible to change someone by overshadowing their bad influences. Good influences, by definition, have more influential potential.

shinigamiookamiryuu,

I sometimes hike in a town where people are absolutely obsessed with dogs, and they definitely don’t behave themselves most of the time. This isn’t always in an unfriendly way, many dogs just like people, but nobody even has dogs so much on a leash. There is a house near me whose dogs are way uncontrolled, and one day I walked past it only for four dogs to run out of their backyard to try to tell me to get off their lawn. The owner then apologized and scolded his dogs and asked them why they misbehaved. Well, for starters, you got time to train ten dogs?

Which brings up a good point, it’s always the dog enthusiasts with dogs that misbehave.
