True. And I don't get Fentanyl at all, I mean I don't do drugs myself and I really never wanted them but - c'mon people, Fentanyl? You'd be better off ingesting rat poison. Why would anyone deliberately take such a thing.
Me too, because I'm sure alcohol is more widely (and wildly) abused. Every day here in Utah people are getting killed by drunk drivers. Some are also under the influence of other drugs. My only beef is, don't get behind the wheel if you're high, it's not worth the consequences.
I think that's true, because with legalization comes tons of bureaucratic red tape and hoops to jump through that cartels would not waste their time with. I'm OK with legalization of marijuana, but I do hope it comes with people exercising good sense about how they use it (which won't happen, but I can dream...).
What's really bad about alcohol is, people who abuse it don't think it IS a drug. And they don't see it as having any negative effects until it's already created and addictive pattern and need for it.
If there are other immortal animal species, what are they? My comment about jellyfish being immortal was from the article in national Geographic. What are the animals you are thinking of?
Most of modern music sounds that way to me - basically three or four chords over and over and over again. I guess that's why I like many of the older pieces, they're a little more complex and when they are jazzed up they sound really great. Although I will say, Jazz to me is much harder to play than almost any other type of music.
It seems like France stands out among terrorist attacks in the news. Is it because they are more likely to be critical of Muslim culture than other European nations? Is it because there is a security failure allowing terrorist to come in and organize better?
I didnt' really have room to write more about what the term "raise better kids" would entail, but obviously ti would mean getting to the root of why these people are mad. That's why I mentioned the need for mental counseling, which is sorely needed in a world where parents don't bother to find out why their kids are upset and don't or won't see the red flags in front of them.
Yes the problem is much wider than this limited space can give a voice to. But you won't solve the problems of the world by trying to throw one size fits all solutions onto the situation and attempting to look at the forest but not the trees. You can't conquer a global problem by a global solution, it requires one on one kind of treatment, and has to start at home or in school.
That's also true, though at some point I think having hundreds of millions might just as well be the same as having billions. Not saying I would turn it down either - if someone offered me that kind of salary to do what I love. But I do have two relatives who are considered (on paper) to be billionaires, a cousin and my older brother. My brother bought a 19 million dollar mansion in Florida and now wants me and me mum to come live with him there - it's very tempting. I mean to him, money isn't an object because, it's not something he has to worry about.
In a way it's nice, in a sort of Great Gatsby way - being around the rich makes you feel rich, and you get to benefit from the blessings. I don't think it's necessarily an evil thing to be that rich. A lot depends on what you do with that money and also, whether you made it on the backs of slave labor or exploitation (and in many cases it's almost impossible not to have done so).
Well when you think that our adult bodies have more foreign bacteria in them than human cells, it's pretty amazing we can even move, or walk or talk. We're kind of walking bacteria bombs. Maybe our systems get used to being overloaded with bugs and so, that feels normal to us.
That's true enough. I started working around the time computers were even a thing - back in the 70s and there was no internet, just basic DOS green screens that were very basic. It wasn't until the mid-90s I even had a computer that had rudimentary internet access - and it was so new, there was only maybe a handful of websites you could find.
There were no cookies or trackers to watch what you were doing online, but then again, there wasn't anything much to look at anyway - porn wasn't even there yet.
So I feel we definitely have it both better and worse today. To me, the better outweights the negatives - I mean it's so much nicer today to just be able to search anything and get a million different answers. But that's also the downfall of everyone being interconnected - being buried in bullshit much of the time.
My childhood in the 60s and 70s was idyllic, I have to admit - growing up on a private reserve with mountains all around and having woods around to play and get lost in. I loved it all - but even then I knew about the conflicts going on and how unhappy most adults seemed.
This is the reason prisoners are so healthy and full of vim and vitality. (right........)
UMMM I don't think you can get iron in your diet this way. First off, it's unlikely you're going to find a bar of pure iron anyway, since most metal bars are composites of many minerals.
Also, the iron has to specifically be in an ingestible form so the liver can process it. An iron bar ain't a lollipop. (maybe that should be a slogan for something).
When they say that cereal has added iron, they really mean that actual bits of iron are added (very tiny particles). You can use a magnet to pull some of them out, they're little iron filings.
So if you file the bar down first and eat the filings, MAYBE it would contribute to your iron intake. But - why not just grab some milk and eat the cereal instead?
Yeah there is that instant gratification - the IG factor you could call it. It's hard to resist! But I agree, people should have actual real hobbies, not just spend time trolling online. One of mine is writing, so replying to posts online helps sharpen my critical thinking in some ways. But I don't spend all day on it. I have so many other hobbies that truly are rewarding, and don't come with constant criticism and put downs from others.
I disagree. Lead and sulfur will be the facsists weapon of choice and it already is. The real cure of fascim is intelligence. Educated people are humane people. Kindness is the hallmark of a well educated person.
I stand by what I said, I don't support any group using weapons against another group. Yes, it's quite natural for any group to defend themselves against an attack, but that doesn't excuse the immoral corruption of killing others, whatever the reason for it. That's my opinion, but I stand by it. And anyone who disagrees and wishes instead to dwell in a state of violence, is free to do so.

This war in the middle east has been going on as long as I've been around, for 64 years and beyond that. It's not ever going to stop. The only solution to any of this is the most easy and yet frightening one -total annihilation of every human on earth. Yet that's what MUST happen if the earth is ever going to be a place of peace.

Can licking an iron bar get you the daily recommended amount of iron?
How many licks would it take? Can the iron in bars even be processed by the body? Can you do this for other minerals?
